Songs that make you cry

Waste by Phish. Reminds me of my old girlfriend that I had to leave because she had a massive brain injury.
Dude thats awful.

I know its cheezy, but due to the circumstances of an ex-girlfriends death in my teen years, I remember you by skid row. It came on the radio at the very moment her brother told me about the car accident... 15 years later, a close friend died from the injuries sustained from a car accident, the same song cycled through on a cheezy local radio station and i became completely teary eyed in front of my Mom, who started weeping with me... :crying:

angel-sarah mclaughklin(spelling)

i do a lot of work wiht the american cancer society, and this song when played during the luminaria ceremony at a relay for life is absolutely amazing.

what a wonderful world-when covered by that hawaiin singer, israel something....

this was the main song played at one of my best friend's funerals and wakes, along with "forever young"(he died shortly after his 20th birthday)...both songs instantly remind me of that time in my life.

"everybody hurts"-REM

just a flat out, amazing song.

father and son by cat stevens. not sure why, its' just sad and passionate. i guess it's the conversation that i've always wished my dad and i could have. we're both too proud and stubborn to be emotional.

Lover, you should have come over by Jeff Buckley
Shadowboxer by Fiona Apple
Walking away blues by Ry Cooder
There are more.

When I hear any song that strikes a chord at me at the time, everything clicks and I get like Bruce Willis did in 12 Monkeys when he heard the radio.

I was going to make a cheep emo joke, but I made the mistake of reading the thread first.

Hallelujah-Jeff Buckley: Just hits me in that certain powerful way.

Bridge over Troubled Water-S&G: Kinda the same, but it's also one of my dad's favorites, and I'm always reminded of my parents being there for eachother and myself.

Downeaster Alexa-Billy Joel: I guess I just imagine the feeling of you way of life and your father's way of life being slowly crumbled away as the world moves on.

Ugly Side-Blue October: I just identify strongly with it.

Here, take it. [:::]
