There was a ploy, primarily in the 60's, where if a particular song was a hit for a band, the next single was constructed to sound just like the previous one…

I remember some bar bands in the '80s doing these 3 songs as a trio medley.

These aren't exactly the same but have a similar melody where all 3 can be integrated as 1 song.

My band used to have a 3 song medley that we would play to encourage dancing.
Hang on Sloopy-Wild Thing-Louie Louie
The transition between them was effortless
The same 3 chords, slight variations.
Worked great at weddings....

Yeah, they're both remakes, I just chose a versions that sound so much alike. Foghat and Aerosmith both did quite a few old boogie tune remakes.
