Lots of Sting's songs do that for me. In particular off the top of my head:

When We Dance
Seven Days
Fields of Gold
Fragile
Sister Moon

The Who's Quadrophenia always takes me somewhere else. Especially the instrumentals ( Quadrophenia and The Rock). Though the entire album is a complete aural experience.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John. IMO the best album he's ever done (RIP Dee Murray) It had something for everyone and it all ties in together so well. Funeral For a Friend is one of my all time fav "take me away" songs.

Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd. What can be said about this album that has not already been said. What an experience.

Rush - 2112, A Farewell to Kings and Hemispheres. Have to mention them all together because they're parts of a whole to me. Great stuff and never gets old.

Heart - Mistral Wind. Between the soaring guitars and the awesomeness that is Ann and Nancy Wilson..their best song ever, IMO. And that's saying a lot.

Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery. Have to mention the entire album again because this one is so perfect.

And so many more....

Great bass line and haunting melody.

1970 or so and cruising in my '59 Cadillac, top down, in Long Beach on a warm balmy night and that song came on the radio.
