I just did a bit of a search. I guess Sonic and Daphne are so close that they are hard to tell apart in photographs. The funny thing is, reading some of the Fender forums, there is quite a bit of discrepancy in the color comparisons, where some feel Sonic is deeper versus the slightly lighter Daphne, and others feel the opposite!

They are very hard to tell apart especially on vintage instruments where the finish has "yellowed" and often looks green . I'll take either
