Double Bass Sonores Red Label Jazz Strings

Does anyone have any experience with these strings?? I tried the Red Label Rabbath, but were a bit loose and thin for my taste. I see he is offering the Red Label Jazz strings, and want to know a bit more about them if anyone has checked them out. My instrument is very dark sounding (even spiro reds are darker on it) so I feel his wrapped gut strings would be a bit too boomy. Thoughts?

Hi Pete, why did you choose the Rabbath version? I am interested in these strings as well, cause they are probably the best option for 50% pizz and 50% arco playing. If they were too thin, maybe you should ask Gerold for another set, because every sey is custom made I think....

How do those compare to Dragos? I am about to acquire Dragos as Gerold suggested them as probably best choice for a hybrid jazz/classical string.
However, I see Red Labels are thicker and taughter and maybe they'd be a better choice. Pete, did you ever get to try them?

The 'custom' part only has to do with length only. Gerold asks to send him the specs on your scroll and playable length so that you don't end up getting strings that are too long and the metal part ends up winding around the peg, which will break the string. So far that's the only customization he does that I see.
