Soul Food appreciation thread

Welp, the dinner is made, thanks jive...

Not sure which apples you meant, i used green sour apples and it turned out to be better then good...

I also added sweat potatoes fried on remaining apple/pork grease. :)

I love to cook...

PS, hehe, half of the thread is me being pissed at people talking about KFC in soul food thread and other half is me telling Jive his gut got nothing on mine... Oh the memories, good times... Jive, you still think you can challenge me?

I've seen THE gut in the "show your gut" thread.

I don't think I can keep up with that.

Maybe I need home field advantage, like all-you-can eat Korean barbecue or something.

Oh and Chris. Dude I'm English. The only thing those peas got going for them is that they are green. LOL. Mushy peas are disgusting. Plus when I eat my chips in england I'm dipping them in curry sauce. Yeah baby that's what I'm talking about.

Spent this weekend in the Carolinas.

In the last 48 hours I've had about 4-5 lbs of vinegar and mustard base BBQ, 3 quarts of green beans, 2 quarts of collards, a quart of buttah beans, 1/2 dozen dinner rols, a whole fried chicken, biscuits n gravy, a plateful of hash, 4 squares of cornbread, 3 cups of mashed taters, and a handful of ribs washed down with a couple gallons of sweet tea.

Somebody call me a doctor.............
