Sound and setup questions, from a clueless new b

If the string is low when fretted it isn't the nut. The nut only controls the height on an open string. What strings are you using and are they a brand and gauge you are used to? Lighter strings will feel lower because the tension is lower.

There's a bunch of stuff in the photos that just look odd.
1. Is the back of the bridge lifting off the body? If so, it needs to be screwed down.
2. The truss rod cover is only secured by one screw. It could be vibrating in sympathy to the strings and making odd noises.
3. String height on the Accucast bridge is adjustable. Invalid Link Removed
4. Going from medium to light gauge strings usually does require a new setup.

Sounds to me like the nut was cut for heavier gauge strings. The lighter, skinnier (A) string is sitting too low in the nut and causing the problem. Take it to a guitar tech and have it properly setup.

Do you have any left old A string at your drawer. Try to change it with current and see what hapens.

Bass:
Have you had it properly set up and intonated? This could cause it to sound flat. There are many videos online that show how to do a simple set up that would help immensely, IMO.
Strings that are too low or too high might sound off.
Strings that are too old can sound out of intonation.

Amp sound:
Set your tone/eq levels to "flat" and start from there. The user's manual for your amp will show you how to do that. If you don't have the manual, you can usually find it online.

Oh vox amp plug, first off the use of headphones or ear puds obviously puts the sound closer to you ears.
Also I own the same amp plug and it has a built in studio sounding bass which I believe even has some compression built in. So what you are hearing in the headphones and what you will hear from a actual speaker isn't going exactly be the same. I suggest plug the headphones in the Rumble and see if you can get close, my guess is when you remove the headphone the sound will be close but not 100% the same. good luck

1. What could cause the A string to be relitivly flat on the neck, in the 3 4 first frets? Maybe its all the strings? Im not sure but its very noticble in the A string

If all the strings feel "flat" (closer to the neck as you have described) this could be explained by the fact you've moved to lighter gauge strings - as lighter strings have lower tension, the neck is straighter, so the strings are closer to the board. This is because the truss rod is acting against less force than before, pulling the neck back. I would try loosening off the truss rod by maybe 1/8th of a turn, this should raise the strings to where they were to begin with. Hope this works for you.

Thanks, I think I have tried everything, only thing Icanthink of is maybe some of the nut slots are too deep/big for current strings. Ugh, I have to take her to someone,

i think you may be right about this being your issue. maybe just place a little paper in the slot for the A string to raise the string a little. See if that helps before having the nut replaced and slotted

The one thing I notice from the pics is the bridge is lifting off the body. I'd loosen the strings and tighten up the mounting screws before doing anything else.

Wow, so many replies, I just got online after Shabat, and saw all these messages. Thank you all, I will unswer you all in one post:
1. Yes I have chaneged to lighter strings
2. I have adjusted truss rod and bridge ( and to those mentioned the bridge was lifting, it is now screwed down.
3. I dont have buzzing and intunation problems ( had at first but fixed it)
4. Truss rod cover is not screwd welk, Im aware of that, left it like that for now on purpise, it does not cous any buzzing.
5. The A string is flat when open, not pressed down.
6.For those who said I can adjust every single string height through the bridge, I dont see how, bc there are 3 screws, and as I sse it, one for the E and A strings, and the other two for the D and G strings . Anyway, I find ibanez drawing very annoying. I know some of you say it looks simple, but for someone who doesnt have any knolage, there are not clear and detailed enough, IMO.
Sorry if I forgot something, but to make a long story short, I have checked everything and it is probobly the nut slots that are made for thicker strings.
Thanks to everybody answering the amp question. I will try .. and yes, I like a CLEAN sound.
