I have used that yellow patching plaster that used to be called "dowman's fix-all", but which is now called something else ("patch-all"?--"repair-all"?) with similar implications-- it sets very rapidly, and is quite hard and strong. I have never made a cast as big as this one, though-- I only used it on smaller instruments.
