Sound System?

Hey guys,
I just had a quick question that I knew the TB expertise would be able to help with. I'm looking into what it would take to put a sound system in the youth room at my church. It's a small structure (circular, about 40ft in diameter) so the system would mainly be for a couple of mics, an acoustic and maybe a djembe for worship. What all would I need to make this happen? I know a small sound board, but what kind of amp for that would I need? I'm more on the musician side and less of a tech guy so I'm clueless.

I did a quick search in this forum and didn't see anything, so if this has been addressed if you could point me in the right direction that'd be awesome.

check out worship sound pro. there is a magazine that explains it all and has rental and purchases for churches. people will come and set it all up for u.

The Carvin suggestion is good... any powered mixer will work. Yamaha has some good offerings. Try and stick with a company that does higher end audio offereing as well. Soundcraft, Yamaha, Carvin, are all good examples.

Also in a round room keep in mind that you want to avoid putting any more sound energy against the walls that you need. A speaker that has a 15 degree tilt would come in handy... get it up high and point it down at your audience a bit more. An example of this woud be the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] from JBL is a good example of this, has both straight and tilt. The work as good mains when you are small and convert into monitors when you grow to something requiring more power.
