Yes... the first unit i received had a weird problem relating to presets only occasionally working. Jeff and Jesse at SA took care of me and shipped me a new unit which functions perfectly.

Contact SA with your problem.... I'm sure they'll take care of you.

I found this problem, but found a solution that's easy and works well. I noticed it happened when I powered it off in any way other than unplugging the adapter from the unit. But when I unplug the adapter from the unit, they come back up. I let them know, and they said they were working on a permanent solution, but it involves using the MIDI interface, and I'm not able to use that at present, so I've just been unplugging the adapter before I power everything else down.

Jesse from Source Audio here...
This problem has come up on a small number of units. It can be fixed with a software update. Send me an email from the web contact form:
Source Audio: Contact Us
Send me a message and we'll get it worked out for you.

Also, for a temporary work around, if you unplug the power supply and plug it right back in, the saving/recall should work properly.

Jesse

I also thought my presets weren't saving. I've figured out that it seems to be a power issue. Sometimes when powering back up the presets don't work right away.. I've had to unplug the power adapter and plug it back in again. It's like this with both the original adapter and my Pedal Power 2 Plus (on outlets 5&6).

I've attempted to update the firmware using the instructions on the SA site, but having no luck. The unit will not exit update mode after what I think is a successful update (I had to try this 3 times before I got the 3 blinking lights but still no reset and normal operation).

I'm using the SA power supply.

If I unplug it and attempt a restart (after the update), I get all lights on and the center column EQ display lights on.

Help?!?

Get in touch with Jesse at SA. I JUST had this EXACT thing happen to me. Evidently a few of the earlier units have this glitch. Jesse went out of his way to assist me until we realized that the firmware update wasn't taking either (as you're experiencing). He quickly sent me a replacement unit with a prepaid return label for me to ship the old one back once the new one arrived.

Major props to SA for taking care of their customers!

GB, yep, Jesse at Source Audio is the MAN!

Overnighting a new BEF Pro to me since it is the same issue you had.

Honestly, it is this type of service that will keep me coming back.

Thanks again to Jesse and SA...amongst the BEST!!

If you buy our pedals, we want you to be happy. If anyone is not happy, let us know immediately!

Hmm, maybe i need to re-phrase my question as...is this the cable one would need (1/4 TRS male out---to Y 1/4 TS male) to make a typical volume pedal (with in and out 1/4 jacks) work with the single 1/4 input on the BEFPro ?

Amazon.com: Hosa STP203 1/4 TRS To Dual 1/4 TS Cable 9.75 Ft: Musical Instruments

I'm not sure if you figured this out yet, but you'll probably need stereo plugs on both ends. From my experience most pedal expression jacks send the outgoing voltage on the tip, and the pedal sends the resisted voltage back through the ring. With the cable you linked it looks like the voltage may not have a way to get back since there's no ring on the other end.

I just got the pro yesterday and pretty much couldn't put it down all evening. Such an awesome pedal. Can't wait to dig in a bit deeper and get more serious with putting it to work in the ways I have in mind. You can make a pretty rad underwater soundscape with a killswitch and a reverb pedal after the BEF! Bloop bloop.

So, I've got the new BEF Pro and it works flawlessly!

Have the Hot Hand in and got a 4 conductor cable to daisy chain the HH to the MWBDP.....serious AWESOMENESS!!

BTW, I found a right angle 4 conductor cable for the HH daisy chaining on the 'bay. I needed the right angles since the space between pedals on my board is tight.

ok, maybe im blind, but i dont see it:
where do i get the firmware update from?
Also:
where can i download new user lfo waveshape presets?

This firmware update was to fix a really old bug. Do you have an old pedal? All the new ones are fine.

The waveshape software is PC only (I think). Send a PM to itswac. He is the expert.
