Did someone say something about MIDI foot controllers? This is from the lab. Note the expression input port. There is also USB for getting things all set up. Lots of thought being put into this.
As a confirmed modulation junky, I had a couple of beautiful analog pedals on my board. Then one day, I tried the Orbital Modulator. I was hooked. While the tones were awesome what impressed me most was how easily I could get sounds in my head to come out of the pedal. It seemed like the knobs actually controlled what they were supposed to and that was it.
After coming up for air from the OM, next thing I knew I also had a Multiwave Bass Distortion, Dimension Reverb, Manta and Dual Expression Pedal. To say I was hooked was an understatement. The problem I was having was that I needed more than two presets per pedal. Currently the only SA pedal on my gigging board is the Manta.
IMO, what would have been ideal was if I could save a preset for each Effect Type on each pedal.
While I don't need scenes, I do need more presets per pedal. The Hub seems a step in the right direction. But in trying to minimize my board size, I don't want to add a Hub and a MIDI controller. If you come out with a product that combines the Hub and MIDI controller and has a display so I know where I am, I'll be all in.
I do think SA is on the forefront of effects design hitting the right blend of features, tone and user interface.
And, as a local Massachusetts'ite, if you ever need an unbiased beta tester, you know how to reach me.
