Aright. Not sure why I took so long to try the usb hub route, but I see the light. Im thinking storing presets in the pedals opposed to the neuro hub is gonna make some sense. Still going to use scenes, but only as preset <presets>

Yeah, the Neuro Hub scenes are perfect for actually using the pedals, but storing presets on each pedal is a big help when constructing scenes.

My C4's patch bays (128) are fully filled, which just goes to show how versatile this pedal can be.
These are my most used patches...mostly my own patches or tweaked variants of other versions and I've uploaded them for everyone to use.
Patch 1: GMC Meridain Funkulator III | Knob 1: Voice 1 level, Knob 2 Voice 2 level, Exp Filter control
Patch 2: GMC - OC-2 | Knob 1: Dry Mix, Knob 2: Distortion mix
Patch 3: GMC PAD (in D) | Knob 1: Voice 1 level (dry mix), Knob 2 Envelope Speed, Expression: Low pass filter freq
Patch 4: GMC Bass Chopper - I use midi to control the LFO wave shape...so i can trem or chop. knob 1 LFO speed, Knob 2 Distortion
Patch 5: QM FM Upright Bass 7b - a great Double Bass emulator by Quatsmacher
Patch 6: Blade Runner Brass by Proton Lenny
Another fav of mine is a simple tremolo, which I've also ported over onto the Spectrum.

QQ regarding the channel setting for pedals attached to the hub... I set each pedal on a different channel. Is that required?

I'm KISS when it comes to MIDI so all mine are on the same channel to make scene changes with the Neuro Hub easier to program, you may prefer a more complicated MIDI lifestyle.
I don't judge, much.

You can filter the community presets by popularity, which is a good way to get a curated taste

All but the modulators, the 3 original dirt pedals, and the true spring. All newer pedals support usb with an OTG adapter.

Thanks for the info. Would this small white adapter that came with my Android Pixel 6 Pro phone qualify as an "OTG adapter"?

I'm using it along with the pictured USB A to USB B cable to connect to a C4 from the phone. When I connect it, the Neuro App does prompt me to "Allow Neuro to access Source Audio C4 Synth". When I click OK, a small red "MIDI" logo appears on top of the icon for the pedal in the upper right corner.

So it seems like the app is recognizing the pedal, right? I must admit I haven't used the mobile app much at all, preferring the desktop app. What I'm trying to do is be able to update the output volume of specific presets that are already saved on the pedal. So if I'm at a gig and I need to tweak the relative levels on the fly I can do it right there.

It seems like it's just wanting me to create a new Preset and send it to the pedal though. And if I hit the "Burn/Recall" option at the bottom, it says all the preset slots are empty.

Yes, that adapter should work. Also, most USB C cables seem to come with OTG built in these days

Nice. I looked up the specs and can also confirm it considered to be an OTG adapter. It does seem to at least allow the Neuro Mobile app to recognize the pedal connection. But I'm just not sure where to go from there. I can't see any evidence changing any settings does anything (the activity LED stays dark), or that the pedal has my saved presets on it.

A question for all you geeks out there. I have a pedal board with a hub, EQ2, Spectrum, Atlas, UltraWave Bass and a Neuro hub connected. All should work to connect via USB to an iPhone/IPad right? Is it possible to connect the USB hub to the iPad? I don’t get it to work… the Neuro App just flickers parameters and shuts down. The connection works with my MacBook… Any ideas about this?

I don't think the Neuro App has an option to work with a Neuro Hub, it's primarily designed to work through the headphone jack. USB support was added later for the newer pedals, but the Hub is not one of those newer pedals.

Yes, I can understand that, but would that interfere if it’s connected to a USB hub? Should I disconnect that and run the hub to the iPad with the 4 pedals connected? I will try that tomorrow and see if it works.

My experience with the Neuro hub is that if it’s not happy it locks up and then shuts down in protest. A clear indicator that something is wrong and the hub isn’t happy!
