I've been taking to Jesse about a Preset editor, and this is wat I have so far

Early, early prototype.
*XC, OE, EL and LS parameteres act funky
*no 8th EQ band
*Modsource and TapTempo nut supported
*Custom LFO shape not supported (but changed from the default ;))
*Only works for the BEFP
*Windows only (for now)
*Oh yeah.. and no saving on the PC

All of this is planned to be fixed, but wanted to get it out there and get some feedback. It might be some time before I get time to work on it again though.

Well I guess I should request a number also, I have a Multiwave bass Pro and will get a BEF next month.

Regarding the Skrogh prototype application, it is VERY nice already, If i can help with anything like porting to Linux, making one for the Multiwave or something just tell me.

I would like if someone can test it on Linux and Mac at some point (it's made in Processing, a subset of java, and works in chrome, so should not be a problem). But thanks. I already have the editor for all the Pro pedals, but only MIDI support for the BEFP (the protocol is different and at the time unknown for MWBD, CD and MWD Pro)

Do you have a MWBD to work with, if not just tell me what to do and I'll send you all the data. Also I can test in Linux any time.
Did you reverse engineered the protocol for the BEF or did the guys from SourceAudio gave you that info?
One thing I was thinking of doing to make my MWBD more powerful and "solve" the problem of heaving non motorized knobs is put my iPad between the MIDI controller and the pedal with an app such as MIDI designer. This way I can change presets on the iPad which, in turn, change presets and/or parameters on the pedal, this means virtually infinite presets on the pedal.

This takes me to another issue, we are seeing a transition from 6 presets on the SB Pro line to only two on the SB 2 line. That for me is not even close to enought, with covers and originals and two different basses... If one could easily send all the pedal parameters or a sysex dump by MIDI then, even if with another device on the chain, we could go around the preset limitation. Come to think of it, if I just bought a professional MIDI controller (I just have the FCB1010) I wouldn't even need the ipad on the MIDI chain.

Jesse gave me the protocol for the befp. Its just some sysex messages. The mwbd uses a different protecol, but I'll stab at it, once I'm done with a more flexible editor. Atm the GUI is getting an overhaul so future pedals will be easier to add.

Hello fellow sourcerers. Over christmas i have read this entire thread from its initial creation all the way to right now (i think that's over 1500 posts and an awful lot of information, some i understand, some goes right over my head). I have toyed with the idea of getting a pedal or two since seeing the original Tri Mod Wah video a couple of years ago.... well having drooled over all the videos during Christmas and done a load of research about what I want for my sound, i have ordered.... The BEF Pro and MWBD Pro.... however i then read on for about another year's worth of posts and discovered the SB2 Dimension Reverb, SA Expression Pedal, and HH3. So i ordered that too!! Guess I will have earned a number when it arrives!!

I have to say in couple of years of reading TB and Basschat forums i have never seen such involvement of the owners and developers of a business, nor seen such a willingness to listen to customers and even have their future ideas moulded by enthusiastic followers. Also i love how involved and enthusiastic other bass players are in this forum and there is some amazing knowledge here. This was why i felt so confident to order such a massive amount of gear without having tried it (there are no stores in my bit of the UK who stock your gear). Looking forward to sharing settings as i find useful things out. (I'm only the second or third Brit posting on here, so forgive me in advance for any sense of humour differences :) ) 1 week to wait for the gear from Germany!!! :hyper: :crying: :hyper:

Thanks Jesse. You are a true electronic wizard.

You know how something doesn't work and you need it fixed, but it may be something that only happens with your certain arrangement and the repair shop has "never heard of that" or can't reproduce your problem in the shop to know exactly how to fix it. Well, that happens to me all the time.

Here's my situation. It's not really a big problem, but in my midi rig if the midi isn't working then I can't use it...period. So I get a second, third or possibly futher handed MWBD Pro from the classifieds (#000048) and get it all rigged up on my board. I have a FCB1010 controlling 4 pedals that do not have midi thru ports so I have to use a Midi Solutions Quatra Thru, basically a hub for midi, but it also cleans up the signals and is a quality item. But the MWBD Pro wasn't changing presets like my BEF Pro or Classic Pro. So I trouble shoot it and run the MWBD Pro direct and it works that way, but not with the Quatra Thru in-between the controller and pedal.

This was over Thanksgiving weekend and I sent SA an email. I exprect that the Monday after the holiday would be busy and really didn't expect a quick response, but I got one. And Wil had a decent idea what it may be and offered to bring it to the shop on SA's dime. I really wasn't in a hurry because this pedal has not become a vital part of my rig and it took me a while to send it in. I think it was the week before Christmas. And again, I'm not in a rush, whatever. But Jesse got right on it. He said he could reproduce my problem in the shop, but had some things he could try and if that didn't work they'd be glad to try again until we get this pedal working like I needed it. SUPER COOL.

And the pedal works perfectly. Whatever he did, blindly, worked.

So for anyone reading this like DorsetBassBeard above this thread, you really can't go wrong with the company. Their pedals are built extremely well, they sound amazing and the service is above and beyond.

Now you people need to check out the Classic Distortion Pro.......seriously!!
