SpaceX and other space stuff

The issue only concerned urinating, not defecating. After Mission Control confirmed the toilet good for use, they gave the astronauts usage suggestions. “Happy to report that toilet is go for use. We do recommend letting the system get to operating speed before donating fluid, and then letting it run a little bit after donation.”

"Donating fluid" LOL! That tickled me. So polite and very professional. I suppose a Number 2 could've been "Dropping the kids off at the pool." LOL

The fun and informative article also mentions the turd floating around in the capsule on Apollo 10's mission. Never heard about that, but the transcript verified it.

Glad to hear the Trans-Lunar Injection (TLI) burn went well.

Surprised this isn't already posted :

I kept hearing CapCom reminding the crew about the use of their protective glasses at the beginning, and end of the eclipse : I’d imagined some fancy NASA specialist equipment.

I was not expecting it to be those cheap cardboard efforts, that we all use on Earth :roflmao:

I guess weight, and due diligence are prioritised over making things idiot proof.

Splashdown of Artemis 2! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

As a kid, I was always transfixed by the old archival footage of various Splashdowns throughout the 60's, so it's incredible to now have the technology where we can livestream an on-board view as the capsules enters the Earth's atmosphere, and see debris immediately begin to fly, and flames build up, before the sudden loss of signal.

And then almost immediately see the capsule picked up on camera, and from several aeroplane camera positions, see it freefall past the plane, and after a long freefall, drogues deploy.

Back in the day, the cameras rarely picked up the vehicle before the main parachutes had opened, and there wasn't any on-board footage of re-entry.

C'mon now : it's been hours since three guys, and a girl, returned to Earth, after vanishing behind the moon.

How long do we have to wait, before Reid can stretch like a rubber band. Before one guy turns to orange rock, or the girl can turn invisible?

Flame on!
