Will you get a good view of the comet, too? Could be a two-fer, they say just after sunset will be a good viewing time by then.

That would be cool too, although that earthsky page is not nearly as user friendly as spotthestation in telling you how to see it.
I'm a newb at all of this, so hopefully it works out.

Starlink internet is getting closer.
I got an email from them tonight saying that they are now accepting addresses instead of just zip codes.
The private beta starts this summer with a public beta after. That would be cool if I got in on the beta.

Bad weather delays launch of UAE's first mission to Mars | Space.
The United Arab Emirates are trying to get to Mars too.

I watched and waved to Bob and Doug tonight. The sky was crystal clear so I could actually make out more of the ISS with just my naked eye. I could tell this time it was a large space station floating by.
Which then prompted me to wonder, how much could I see with enhanced vision. I decided to start off with binoculars and see what difference that makes. I ordered two pair. One from Amazon that'll be here tomorrow, and one from Barnes & Noble of all places that I'll pick up tomorrow. Now I can try out a 7x50 and a 10x42 just to get a feel for the different sizes.
We don't have room to store a telescope, so I don't plan on going down that path.
This is going to be great as we have a couple prime ISS viewing opportunities coming up Sunday and Tuesday.

A telescope wouldn't be a good choice. You're trying to track something moving at 17000+ mph only 250 miles away. Now for star, moon or planet gazing, it would make sense.

And don't forget Comet Neowise is visible this week. I've seen Hale-Bopp and either Kahoutek or Hyakutake. It's worth it.

I've been trying to catch it, but it's crossing the sky at about 10 degrees where I live. We live in the woods and at the bottom of a hill, making it nearly impossible to see anything in the sky that close to the horizon. I'll keep trying though.

I could happily spend all day just going through the Image of the Day section on that site. The one of New York seen from the ISS is pretty crazy. Great stuff.

51 years ago this morning (at 9:32 AM EDT) Apollo 11 launched on it's history-making journey to the moon. Just sayin'. Great googly moogly I'm old.
