SpaceX and other space stuff

It says they are gunning for a piece of the small satellite launching market that is RocketLab's stomping ground. They intend to automate everything to become the cheapest option. I think RocketLab will be moving in that direction also.
Not competing with Spacex directly, either of them, but taking the Spacex business principles and applying them to other segments of the market - more power to them! Too bad this flight didn't go...

How the heck could you fully automate rocket production anyway? You would have to be cranking them out like cars. I think they will always have more in common with Rolls Royce than Toyota.

At the moment RocketLab 3D print the rocket motor bodies. Everything else will be all mod con CNC and lasers I am sure, but assembly is done by hand.

Makes me wonder if the new guys are struggling to attract capital and pushed the automatic buzzword button.
