Speaker emulation and Sansamp RBI

Hi Justin. Two little questions about Sansamp racks. I need something to substitute the amps in a home recording context, and maybe this boxes can help me...

Do you use any kind of external speaker emulation (Palmer or whatever) with the Sansamp RBI? I remember you used a Palmer with the PSA1.1 during your NIN days.
The signal chain go from RBI XLR output to mic input of one of your preamps right? I have an Auroa GtQ-2 at home so i guess it would be a good combination.

Only for bass use: What are the main tonal differences between PSA1 and RBI? What´s your criteria to use one or another?

Thank you so much.

Heya,
It depends on the context re: RBI. Sometimes nothing, sometimes other pre's cascading, sometimes Palmer, sometimes Culture Vulture, etc. With NIN, yes: my PSA1.1 went into my Palmer. PSA1 has much more variable nuances in terms of the character of the dirt. RBI I use sometimes for a more meaty, simple, thick bass sound with a touch of dirt.
