speaker ohm/ part change? Conversion?

Hi, advice to the clueless please. I wanted my Avatar 1x12 4 ohm cab to be 8 ohm so I bought the 8 ohm 12" speaker here in the classifieds. I spoke with Avatar and I was told the crossover is 4 ohm specific but I would not notice.
I have a new crossover coming anyway because I installed a midrange in place of the horn.
My question is how does Eminence make the visually identical 12" speaker a 4 ohm or 8 ohm. One simple part? If so can I change it and make the removed 4 ohm an 8 ohm.
I did some searching but don't have an answer yet. Thanks

If you are talking about making a 4 ohm speaker into an 8 ohm speaker...........

It can be done, but it is not a "simple part swap"

You have to have the speaker reconed which involves changing everything but the basket and magnet.
