speaker removal

trying to remove the speaker from my EDEN D115XLT8 cab, removed the screws but the speaker seems to be held in by some adhesive or something,, any one else have this issue, checked EDEN'S website but found no answers ,,,,,

The gasket is probably stuck to the enclosure. CAREFULLY pry the speaker frame out.

tried getting a flat head screwdriver to do just that but was taking way too much effort and as you said " wanted to be very careful",,, this thing is in there...

A carefully applied pry bar will do it. Work your way around the driver frame lifting just a small amount each time.

For the $64.000 question: why do you want to remove the driver?

got it from a private seller,, wanna see if the speaker matches whats supposed to be in there and am hearing a crackle but don't see any damage from the cone itself.....

I'd like to point out that the phenomenon to which you refer would be characteristic of an original factory installation. Just sayin'. Also: contains no user-serviceable parts. If you're determined, @BassmanPaul 's advice is what I'd say also.
