I was wondering.... I have two 12inch infinity subs from my car and a hartkey practice amp. My question is can I put the 12's in a cabinet and play threw them?

You can, they will sound like mud as they will not have the frequency response. Be careful not to launch the cones out of the baskets.

SPL(Sensitivity) is usually terrible when referring to car audio.

Car subs are around 75-85dB - 1W @ 1M, when a usual loudspeaker/bass/guitar speaker is rated at 90-105dB - 1W @ 1M.


If your going for mud, they do just fine...

Yes, and they'll work great...so long as you're using them in your car. Otherwise, not so much.
