Special Edition Build-off - 4003w new build

Got around to putting a logo on the trussrod cover. Not a particularly creative logo, just based on where I live. May do a little more trimming on the cover later. Seems fat to me. The lettering was cut in with a cnc laser, then black acrylic paint was put on. Anyway! Here's a picture.

This is the last 4003 inspired bass I plan to ever build. I may try different finishes on the two others I built, 'cause they need it. I really was building this bass because I can measure where my skills are relative to the real thing. After three, I finally feel there's nothing more to learn from building this style. Its just for personal use and will be used for further experimenting with pickups and wiring. And . . . gigging! On to the next project.
