Re-fret at Nolls guitars in RI.....

Love those guys. Had them make a custom pickguard on one of my basses a few months back and while doing that they apparently also cleaned up the bad routing in the control cavity and put heat-shrink tubing over the solder joints when they put it back together. They are 5 minutes away from where I rehearse.

Also you can talk to them about instruments forever

Also also White over Black, it has more pop with the black pups and hardware

3.5 hr ride from southern NH to Knolls. These guys can talk about necks and history of basses/guitars for hours. I always learn something about basses from theses guys every time I go there. I call one guy there the Professor...after listening to these guys talking about necks,history of like all companies(last time about spector/kramer), temperature, etc...I feel like a dummy.

Stan the man!!! He can talk for days! I take my basses there too. When I bought my ns2a a while back from Daddys junky music, someone gutted the electronics and I bought it cheap. Went straight to Stan and had him install the usa emg pj set with the bqc eq system. When I picked it up he tells me that he also adjusted the bridge for me because the g string was too close to the edge of the neck and didn't charge me for it. Good people over there!

The black NS-2A is one i bought from a member here named TimWilson. Its beat up a bit, but i am going to get it refinished pretty soon to take care of that problem.

From PJ, it is from a handful that came with USA inlays, USA hardware, and a USA 9 volt circuit in it. It's probably the closest thing i will get to a real NS-2

I would have already refinished it, but time and money have not been on my side haha! Plus i am going to be in the market soon to sell my rig and get an Ampeg rig. I have too many projects and not enough money...isn't there supposed to be a tree that produces money by now!? :wishing/dreaming:

I hear ya on the money tree... I'm 2/3 done upgrading my rig and I'm already gassing for another Spector.... hah

It's fun watching people try and drive up the hill...it rarely snows here so the city doesn't bother salting the back roads

Awesome view! i can only dream of snow where i live.
It's basically hot as hell where i live in Florida. For Christmas i could get away with wearing shorts...

We have like maybe 3 months of cold weather

A lot of people here would trade you any time!!!!! Myself, I love it when it snows, the view of the mountains with snow on them is priceless! Makes the rent we pay here somewhat tolerable..

Can you put a USA bridge on a Euro?

I don't believe you can without heavily modding the bass. If I am not mistaken, the USA bridges are bigger so you would need to cut out more space to fit the bridge.

Can anyone describe the difference in sound between a TW equipped one against a std P/J one.
Playing rock not jazz. Want grind and punch ideally.
I have an NS2000/4 and like the neck - is the Euro similar in feel? Will a Euro be grindier than the 2000/4?
In fact, will i notice a major improvement?

Fit n finish overall are better on the euro ( not that the 2000 is lacking at all). The NS body shape is quite different as well. For punch n grind the p/j is the only way to fly. The euro is Definatly worth the step up imo. The NS2000 is a great bass, I still have mine as my backup. The euro is just a different and that much better bass imo.

Put it this way, being a Spector guy since 92 (owned 9) I took a break for about 10 yrs doing the family n career thing. Getting back into it I bought a rebop, I soon after bought an NS2000/4 which became my main bass (I'm a NT guy). I found my dream bass here ( Euro DW Sig) thanks to jeffplaysbass and I really don't want to play anything else.

Absolutely . if I am correct , since Stuart required the Spector name , after the ssd , he went back to the larger square shaped bridges . You would have to do some routing on a euro anything to make a USA bridge fit it .
