Gotta route it. Really no need to go to the US bridge . It's a little heavier than the std euro is all. It makes a slight difference in depth and sustain but not much. I swapped an aluminum euro bridge for the gold zinc/brass euro piece and was suprised by how little difference there was. It was slightly noticeable to me, but I'm picky like that.

Put it this way, being a Spector guy since 92 (owned 9) I took a break for about 10 yrs doing the family n career thing. Getting back into it I bought a rebop, I soon after bought an NS2000/4 which became my main bass (I'm a NT guy). I found my dream bass here ( Euro DW Sig) thanks to jeffplaysbass and I really don't want to play anything else.

This^ I have had a performer (entry level) with upgraded emg hz pups, 2 ns-2a (P/J setup), and a Euro NS-2JA-R (JJ setup) ....... I play the Euro as my main bass.... it is THAT much better than the NS-2A, but I definitely prefer a P/J setup. My next bass will be a Euro P/J more than likely.

I know they make the Forte in a 5 string PJ setup, but to my knowledge they don't make a Euro 5 string PJ, do they? I'd really love to get a PJ as I've heard they nail the Spector tone a little better then the dual hum buckers, but I'd really like to stick with a 5er.

well EMG makes the 40P5 and 40J.... I bet you could order it like that or at least change out the pups for those.

Are they direct replacements for what I already have in my Euro? I'm kinda tempted to give them a try once I get my trim tone pump. What is a set going to cost me? And would anyone be interested in the stock EMG's in my euro if I decide to go this route?

Looks like about $200 and yes they are in the standard "40" case that EMG uses. I imagine it would be a quick switch. :D

Went straight to Stan and had him install the usa emg pj set with the bqc eq system. When I picked it up he tells me that he also adjusted the bridge for me because the g string was too close to the edge of the neck and didn't charge me for it. Good people over there!

Yeap Stan "the Professor"...when they installed my USHaz in my Ian Hill they put different knobs saying the stock ones ...I forgot something about coming loose or not lining up right or something...anyways they go above and beyond. My old teacher brought a fender that the neck was in half and they fixed it you couldn't tell anything happened to it.

It's fun watching people try and drive up the hill...it rarely snows here so the city doesn't bother salting the back roads :hmm:

No. They are a different size with different bolt patterns. But if it's the heavy, dense brass you're looking for, you may be able to find an old CRFM bridge. I have one, and I love it! That's one of the reasons I bought an older Spector Euro (CRFM), for the dense bridge. Density=sustain!!

Correction...Grendle doesn't have a Euro DW Sig...he has a Custom Euro DW Sig!!!....:bassist:....everything else he said is correct though.
