It's funny, I never would have gone to see them had my guitarist not used them because they were 5 minutes from our drummers house. Awesome guys there.

In response to the knobs, the haz copy I have (korean copy of the US preamp) has solid shaft pots vs. knurled so I had to buy knobs with set screws to work with the preamp pots.

Love those guys...any major stuff I take the 40 min ride to RI and see Stan the man, the professor.

Ah.. Southgate, CA is nice this time of year...

That's like Long Beach, CA for those of you in Rio Linda :D

Whatcha doing in Long Beach trace? Making a delivery/pickup? :D
Can't complain about our winter so far...We've only had 1 day in the minus so far, -24F. At the end of town there's a sign that states," Icebox of the nation". Lol our normal snowfall is 120" per winter...so far not a foot! Bad for businesses though!

It's minus 38 with the windchill right now in Winnipeg..

First off... Worshiprocker... Excellent news man! I had the pleasure of recording an album and touring the country in support of it back in the 80's - 90's. Something to be proud of.

Secondly... this thread is torture for someone like me who's still waiting for their Spector to be delivered. LOL It should be here sometime today. Will post pics. It's good to hear all your passion for an instrument. I know I'll share in it soon!

Testing out a new bass tone here!!!!
I'm going for more of a Tool-ish vibe with this track. Its just part of the track and no guitars, but i really aiming to get a good growl on this track. This one is just one track of bass using my Axe Fx and nothing else. Ampeg SVT model with 8x10 cab. I think i used a 421 mic on the 8x10 IIRC. Anyways, let me know what you think. The playing could be tighter, but its a start to an idea. Feedback is always welcome! :)

Mission accomplished. :D

oiy, I didn't check in over the weekend and I got ten pages to catch up on.

Worshiprocker, awesome, congrats

That blue SPECTOR a few pages back is beautiful.

Black or white bass? I'd go for the white.

Great Tone! If you don't mind, can you post your setting used for the track?

Yep, that's pretty much my tone with my rig :) (minus the delay) . Sounds great :)

Try rolling the pup blend forward a little ( a little more P) , there's a nice sweet spot there for even more menacing growl. I use a pick though too, so it might not sound the same for you.

Sure thing! When i get home i will double check them.

I used my Euro 4LX with TP preamp on this one. Everything was up full. I could probably EQ a bit more and bring out the growl a bit. This was thrown together really quick. :)
I like to record with a pick (for this style music) as it cuts quite a bit more than with my fingers. Live though, i don't ever use a pick. Just my preference though. :)

Lots of thanks to everyone who listened and commented :)

I have my solo project (D20) that this will most likely be apart of. I want to post another song to get some feedback if that is cool with everyone? This song has an extremely rough mix though. I'm going to end up retracking everything for it, but the structure of the song will most likely be very similar though.

Do you guys care if i post one more?
