No its not a Legend Custom, those have set-necks. Its an earlier Legend Classic, they made them with that pickup configuration for a short time. One of my Buds has that exact same bass.

ahh I thought it was a custom because of the stacked pot. i was on my phone earlier... its clearly a bolt on from those pics. Looks like a great bass!!

Just giving an update on band practice yesterday:

I finally got to take all of my gear out of the house again (hadn't practiced with these guys since Christmas as everyones schedules just weren't connecting right). I recently bought an SKB 6U rack case, and it really makes transporting my amp and tuner very easy. Although I don't have a power conditioner, I do have a power strip in the back of the rack so I can leave everything setup, it's basically just plug into the wall and I'm good to go.

I decided to take out the Neo Avatar 212 yesterday as I didn't want to haul the Mesa around, and oh boy, this cab sounds GREAT :hyper:.I really forgot what it sounded like to be honest with you, considering I haven't really played it since I got my Mesa, but everything sounded great last night. My cab took all the power I was throwing at it, and it could've taken more. I actually plan on looking for another Avatar 212 and using it as a practice rig, then taking my Mesa out for shows. I'd really recommend checking these cabs out if you're looking for a new cab and come across one. The guys complimented my tone several times (though that's mostly due to the killer bass).

My Euro 5LX (non trim) sat right in the mix perfectly. I'm very happy I decided to pick this bass up instead of the musicman stingray I was also looking at at the time, this bass just knocks it out of the park. I would really compare the tone that I get out of the Mesa to the Avatar, except the Mesa is a little bit more Mid forward if that makes sense.

Although this band isn't supposed to be a serious thing, and we're just jamming some covers out now, we've got 10 songs in 3 practices, and I'm pretty stoked on this band actually. :hyper:

That's great. I've never tried the Avatar stuff before, but it gets some great reviews.

Good luck with the band.

...i ran over ebay and found this Spector. Can anybody teach me what Spector is that ? The seller say it's a legend 5, but i've never seen any legend with strange pups configuration like that. By the way, it's a beauty baby, isn't it !

Spector Legend Classic 5 String Bass Guitar | eBay

I believe its a legend classic which was a special run sold through Sam ash. I've seen a few of those but never played one. I believe JP had some info on those way back in the teen threads maybe. Only ever seen them in that color as well.

Yup, I'm very excited about this band. Im really enjoying the covers that were playing right now, even though they wouldn't have been my first pick. The band is really accommodating and is completely willing to give me choice of some songs as well. We're doing Never Again by Nickelback (again, not my first choice) but I can get my tone exactly like Mike's, it sounds awesome! I can't wait to play some shows.

This also gives me a reason to get a backup Spector.. :hiding:

Also, given the choice, I'd pick an all white Spector over an all black Spector anyway. But I'd take a nice green Spector over a white Spector anyday as well.

I'm going to try to swap my TP probably tonight, but i have a couple dumb questions. What do you use to get the knobs off of a Euro bass? If i want to reattach the TP back to the wall of the control cavity...what type of glue should i use?

Also i have attached a pic with some questions. I've looked at the other diagrams on Spector's site, but can't figure out what is what because my wires are different colors. Any help is greatly appreciated.

One last question, if i want to use new solder...what type do i get and where can i get it from?

Again many thanks to anyone who can help me out some! :bassist:
