I got to try an Svt 4 pro!!!!!!! It was thru a 4x10 cab but it sounded really good! Very nice growl to it! I can imagine it will sound massive through an 8x10!!!!! Turns out it was hiding at GC....
I had the volume at 1/4 and a kid working there was like, can you turn it down? It's too early.....
I said, it's 2 pm!? Lol!!!
I think I'm about 95% sure I'm switching to ampeg.
I'm still gonna swap my TP out for the trim pot version, and see if that makes a difference, but I really did enjoy the svt 4 pro. Looks like my SWR rig will be on CL soon

Ironically, I got an email from the drummer just a few hours ago asking me to join them full time. They gig too much for my schedule, but his attitude made saying no really easy.

I'm fully aware of that and I'm sure he's happy with his tone but these guys are like hired guns a lot of times.

Totally agree. I think an opinion is much easier to take if someone paid for the piece in question.

I'm gonna swap my tonepump and go back one more time and give it another whirl. If it sounds good or better then after the swap i'll probably sell my rig and get an Ampeg rig through GC used most likely.

I'm sure it'll sound great! A rig like that will definitely bring out more of your tone in your band.

Wow! Those are just amazing! What circuit is installed in those? It's obviously not the 18v USA circuit that normally comes in the NS-5's

Hey Guys,
I tried recording a track today. Basically just goofing around. I took a cue from Alex Webster on recording gear. This is just my Euro 4 LX into my Bass Pod XT on the SWR (Studio Tone ) setting. Brand new Daddario XL's. Let the snickering begin...
