It's pretty quiet here this morning...unlike my gig last night where the Spector was LOUD
Quick question:
My strings of choice are Labella Hard Rockin' Steels. I use the standard gauge set, .45-.128. These are pretty stiff rounds, more like Roto 66's vs. a looser string like High Beams, Sunbeams, etc.
Does the 35" scale of a Spector 5 make a big difference in tension? Would it be better to use a lighter gauge or should I stick with what I typically use?

Jarrod, your Rex is looking really sweet. I remember before when it had a bunch of stickers and different knobs but I have to say, it really looks great in that picture.

(Left): SSD B.O.B. #19 - The only B.O.B. made with workshop installed Crown Inlays. The rumor was the Jimmy Eppard installed these himself. He laughed and said, "Only if they look like crap! I'm no good at doing inlays!" Truth be known it was probably Stuart who did the inlays on this neck.
(Middle): NS-2 #739 - The Black Pearl - the first Spector to be made with black MOP Crown Inlays.
(Right): NS-4 #713 - The last Water Cured Redwood bass to ever be made by Spector.
