I'd say standard with all Spectors. If I was home I'd measure them for you. I didn't notice any difference from all my other Spectors that I have/had. I play on a stage weekly that's not bright but not real dark either. I have no problems seeing them for reference. On the basses that I had large inlays I noticed that I wasn't looking at the fretboard but I was looking at the side markers. If I ever get to where I'm playing in dark stages I'd opt for the LED maker lights probably.

I think the 0-11 knobs are awesome! Although I do prefer the metal knobs personally.

I always have to post after Rick to show it's little Brother.:bassist:I'm so glad I kept it!
I don't know if you guys saw my post yesterday but my brand new SWR 350X sizzled and broke. Total bummer! Hearing my Euro through it while it worked was pretty amazing. I usually use GK or Ampeg stuff but here is something about that SWR tone that gets me.

Looks great. Obviously I love the red and gold. Sorry about the SWR. I had an SWR SM400s. Great little amp. Sorry I sold it.

from what i hear, they dont make swr like they used to. total bummer about your head man. i would go with gk, ampeg, or even a mark bass. those little things are nice from what ive read and heard. played one at gc and it was nice.

Yeah I've heard the same about SWR. Didn't they get bought by the "F" word? I addition to the suggestions sumgruuvz made look at Genz Benz. I have the Shuttle 9.0 and thinks it's a great little amp.

Has anyone here had experience with DR DDT strings? I need new strings for the Euro, for some reason whatever strings the previous owner had on it, the top 3 strings sound great, but the E is dull, not broken in dull, like it goes THUD.

Are the DDT's Steel? Nickel? Both? Don't see much info on them around. I usually use DR Sunbeams and love them, but we tune a half step down, and going back and forth from our "standard" to our "drop D" (Yeah its F# C# G# C# but thats what we call it) the low string can get a bit floppy, which isn't that noticeable, but the tone becomes uneven when in our "drop D" where the low string is noticeably more bassy than the other strings.

So I figured DDT's might be worth a try, and I figured I'd get them from Bass Strings Online since everyone here seems to think it's a good shop but I've never used them. Any advice or info on the DDT's?

I just recently just got a set of DDTs and I really like them. They hold tune VERY well and my low notes seem nice fu and round. I've only had them on for a week. As far as material: DR Strings DDTs feature a hexagonal high-carbon steel core wrapped in 430- grade stainless steel.

I tune C# G# C# F# and the tension is perfect

hope that helps. Its definitely a warmer tone than typical SS strings, but its still a bit aggressive. To me they just sound very full.

I got mine from bassstringsonline.com, love that place!

If your E string sounds like a THUD...then you should try and re-string it and place the ball end of the string last. It may be twisted.
Haven't used the DDT's but I use DR Nickel Lo Riders on my Forte and tune EADG and it sounds great. The tension is good too!
