What kind of BO 5'er you lookin' at?
I played an NS-5H-2 once for a while (was borrowing it) and aside from the TW-pickup situation, it was an amazing bass. I love the standard NS body design, but that bolt-on setup was a nice change of pace.

I've never played one, but I like the concept. I'm a big fan of mahogany body/bolt-on maple neck/humbuckers.

So I was noticing that my knobs were backwards today, ie bridge vol where neck is suppose to be and treb where bass should be. So I opened her up to check. Is this the old emg pre? To me, this looks different than my old euro-4lx

That looks like a Haz or Haz copy! I do not believe it to be an EMG pre.

That looks to be a Haz copy. The EMG pre has a couple of small circuit boards attached to the pots.

That's exactly what's going on with me. Has anyone ever seen an Alex Webster pop up used?

I think most of us got an Alex Webster pop up when JPS posted the first pics of the Alex Webster Signature Model Bass.
I ran downstairs to show my wife and watched her use mine...

I love my Forte, but I am finding that I really like a five string and I find most of the gigs in this area require a 5. ...the only thing holding me up is my love for my Forte! LOL!

Unless you have the best of both worlds and sell it for a Forte 5

is that the Japanese HAZ copy?

I suppose it is lol. All I know is this bass has tons of tones unlike my other Spectors. This bass keeps getting better and better!

There is a page in the japanese world that has a Spector club and they did a preamp expose and they said anything with velcro is a japanese HAZ...

My NS-2A with HAZ copy is like that too.
