What kind of BO 5'er you lookin' at?
I played an NS-5H-2 once for a while (was borrowing it) and aside from the TW-pickup situation, it was an amazing bass. I love the standard NS body design, but that bolt-on setup was a nice change of pace.

I've never played one, but I like the concept. I'm a big fan of mahogany body/bolt-on maple neck/humbuckers.
 
So I was noticing that my knobs were backwards today, ie bridge vol where neck is suppose to be and treb where bass should be. So I opened her up to check. Is this the old emg pre? To me, this looks different than my old euro-4lx

That looks like a Haz or Haz copy! I do not believe it to be an EMG pre.

That looks to be a Haz copy. The EMG pre has a couple of small circuit boards attached to the pots.

Very interesting

is that the Japanese HAZ copy?

I suppose it is lol. All I know is this bass has tons of tones unlike my other Spectors. This bass keeps getting better and better!
