It's true. Great NBD for me! I haven't felt this much bass nirvana in, well........EVAR!!!!

I've been looking for a nice Euro, or something for that matter, to fill the slot between my NS 2A (now gone) and Forte with the Haz (I always feel I have to say that:D).

I emailed Sam a few days ago and asked him about that beautiful Spector JJ on here for sale (now belonging to mfrstop). He mentioned he might be letting one of his Euro's go and that sent me into a tailspin. Couple days later and BANG! She's mine.:hyper:

The FedEx guy showed up just in time for rehearsal and she was thrown in to the fire. Once I figured out all the confusing knobs :eyebrow: I had it singing. Man, do these Euro's sound sooooo good. I believe Sam's old axe is going to be seeing a lot of gig time. I'm a tool for black basses, especially matte so this one is right up my alley.

Thanks everyone and thanks Sam for taking care of me! I'll be a good caretaker, I promise.

Hey guys....I have owned Spector in the past and am currently looking at a used 6 string euro neck thru. I would like to ask what one would consider an average fair price for a good condition used model....and then what a good price would be. Thanks in advance!

that's awesome lee! good for you! hopefully i can jump for joy in sometime soon as soon as i can get rid of that damn warwick :eyebrow: lol

I'll check with PJ on Monday but it looks to be an NS-2 from around 1981-1982. It looks authentic to me. The 5-piece neck is a little curious. But Stuart did often experiment back in those days.
The body is right, the fingerboard, headstock and Brooklyn Headstock stamp.
If I had to put money on this I'd say it was a really nice condition early Brooklyn NS-2.

thanks. yeah, i guess because its a rockbass all the warwick snobs turn their head at it. so i guess we'll see :confused: i dont get it either.

The best way a buddy of mine that used to work in a cabinet shop did his was to lather on laquer striper, soak over night, next day use a scraper to peel off a layer at a time. It's a slow arduous process! Patience!
