Not true Phat. I know I'm endorsed by Hipshot, but I'm sure if you contact them, they can get you a Schaller with the screw on the bottom. I got one for my JA-R, sent it back & got the right one no problem. They have great customer service.
Wasn't aware they made the M4 in two different versions.
Seems they would have to extend the plate for a screw on the bottom version (hole) as the normal one's plate doesn't seem to even cover the screw hole area of a screw on the bottom Schaller. Is there a model number for this other version?

Yes, Hipshot's CS is great. Several years ago I ordered a GB7 D-tuner for a Cirrus 6 I was trying out. For whatever reason, the D-tuner's post/shaft was not the same length (1/4" difference ) as the other GB7 tuners on the bass. Even though Hipshot was also puzzled by this, they had me send the D-tuner and within about a week or so they had customized it and sent it back free of charge. It was perfect.
:D

Hi Spector fellows. Has anybody had a problem with height of bronze nut on their Euros? Bronze nut on my 4LX-TW seems to be taller than graphite one on my 435LX, making the action higher closer to the headstock. So my graphite-nut euro plays easier than my bronze-nut one. Anybody noticed the same with your basses?

Has me stumped. I thought all Euros came with a brass nut, 35" or 34" scale.

Ran my Euro at 18 volts last night! It sounded awesome!!! I'm so torn on getting a Haz or another TP for my CR4FM.

Ok guys...if you love saving $$$ and buy a product that'll do about it all for $60.00 less, then check the iRig out! I bought mine in Best Buy store.
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irig/ Also this;for $30.00 less than the Apogee Jam.

Is it good for plugging up and practicing with tunes in your music library?
Or maybe practicing with a metronome/drum machine app?
I don't really care about amp simulators or effects.....

You will need a different app to play along with your music library unfortunately. I thought the same thing and when I went to go try it out, i was very disappointed that it didn't work. The interface doesn't matter on this either so just know ahead of time that you can't play along with the music on your iPhone or iPad natively and have to use a separate app for it.

Right now, I am using the David Ellefson rock shop app which works pretty well and lets you slow down and loop the songs of you need and I know there are others that do the same thing but haven't tried them out yet.

I have experienced this.

The graphite nut on my Blk Euro was very very low.

When I got my Cherry Euro the brass nut was higher.

You can have a tech shave the brass nut down a bit on your 4LX-TW.

Hey, watch where you are pulling that thing out! :)

The one thing the iRig has over the Apogee Jam is the iRig works with the Amplitube app but the Jam doesn't. Amplitube does look pretty cool but it's not cheap. It's $20 and then they make you payfor extra amps and pedals which makes it pretty pricey so I bought the David Ellefson Rock Shop app and it's pretty cool.

Lolol! :D No worrys!

Yeah I've been able to download a lot of Amplitube Apps for free or .99 cents. They have specials all the time. Of course I've not used any of it yet...busy packing house now...have it up 4sale.

How much did the David Ellefson Rock shop cost? Are you using it with Appogee Jam?

I'll give a review on using iRig with the new iPad later today.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone!

BTW, my new family picture)
Very nice!

I believe the MIDI has that capability...definately read before you buy.

Wonder why that is? I've heard phat and others say they have to do the same thing. They must be generic brass nuts for Euros. I'm happy that hadn't happened with my USA basses.

So far the consensus is Haz. :)
OBP-3!!!!! :bassist: Or Haz

Hi Sam, thanks. At least I know that it's a common case not just mine. Time to tech visit. BTW, which one og these nuts settings do you personally prefer?
