wow gad they never made those Q4s/NS20004s ol
You know... I've been really slammed and haven't been able to catch up lately.

And you guys blow through the pages. You can blink and 5 pages go by. LOL.

But I'm really surprised that no one has said anything about the Euro5 (yes, a solid winged Euro5 and not a Euro5LX) that Marty O'Brien has riveted sheet metal to the front of.

Pretty shocked no one has any thoughts on that.

I was actually talking to Sam last night about that bass. I thought it was just a paint job tho, pretty cool.
Btw, quasi-related but I'm heading off to see FFDP tonight; will try to grab a picture or two of which Spectors Chris is playing. :ninja:

Chris has the only 2 Rex 4 Pros with P/Js from the factory. I haven't seen them live since Chris joined the band. Have a good time!

I've called UPS many many many times at 7am and asked to hold my package so I can pick it up. Mainly I do this bc we are last on their route so we get delivery at 6-7 pm. :scowl:Unless we are lucky there a priority in our neighborhood. Maybe it's different from city/state?:eyebrow: Up where we live in northern Michigan EVERYONE is super friendly and treat you as family. I've never failed picking up on request. :ninja:
I always got the same answer and result and without the shippers consent I was SOL with Fed-ex and UPS both unless at least one attempt to deliver was made. One of them told me they would hold it but it would not be available until the following day after an attempted delivery.
You may have a different relationship with your local hub and the only exception I have had is catching my ups driver while out for delivery.
I live in Texas the friendliest place on earth, but the zip code is not an issue. Maybe I should call the local hub first.

I just saw this! It's cool as heck!

Like Donny, I spoke to Sam about it over IM but the topic really wasn't brought up in the forum. At first, I had a tough time telling what it was since I couldn't get a good look at the bridge but that really is a cool finish.

That isn't the Euro he used to use back when he was in Methods of Mayhem by chance, is it? Since you said it had solid maple wings, I was wondering if he did a re-finish on a bass like the one he is using here:

Warning. The language might be a bit rough for someone. Yeah, make fun of me but I actually like this song.

Actually the only new bass Marty has gotten in the past few years is his Forte-5. He got number 002 I believe. He walked into BPL in 2009 and saw it and said, I buy it right now! He was about to go out on the first tour with "We are the Fallen".

To my knowledge the two other Spectors Marty has in the photo are both from the Methods days. He's not one to buy/sell/change equipment much.

So I think BOTH of these are Euro5s and not LX models.

To my best knowledge, that is real sheet metal. Very thin. The finish on that bass was pretty worn because he toured with it so much. So he wanted to "metal" it up. LOL.

I'll ask him to be sure. But I remember him telling Rex Brown about it at NAMM I think. The two of them do catching up there.

BTW: I know he switched out hardware to black on his basses a couple of years ago. So probably the bass in the video with gold bridge and hardware is in the photo with him... it just has black hardware now. But again, I'm about to ask him to be sure.

Methods of Mayhem is typically classified as a "Rap/Rock/Hip Hop" group.

I mean, who could forget this classic: "GET NAKED!"

But that song in the previous post was more a "Metal/Punk" tune.

Thanks,
I once thought I knew what metal was but I guess not or maybe it has change since it's beginning.
I used to think what "Kiss" did was metal but I have never listened to music like that, it looks and sounds like a bunch of pissed off people.
Just throw your guitar into the drum set on the way out!:hyper:

oh man. id hate to hear what you would say about cannibal corpse. believe me, you might think it's noise, but if you can play music that good, you can call it what you want. lol ;)

I've been very busy with an intensive 6 week training course for my new job. It's been very hard to even try to keep up with all that's going on here. I haven't even had time to really play my NS2A since I installed my TP. Although I can say it's definately a step up from the BTS. (IMO) I'll also say I keep seeing lots of FN nice basses with this thread. When I'm buried in work it's nice to take a micro break and look at them all. Thanks to all who post them for helping a guy cope with no playtime.......
