I know that most people don't like Gold hardware! With me it depends on the finish.

If it's any consolation I picked up the the stripped Euro body/neck in the classifieds and I'm putting Black on that one after I refin it.

At his point the plan on the Euro is to see what the wood looks like under all the paint and decide on a color. Going to use a TonePump in it and Active P&J EMG's, maybe the PJX set.

But Definately, Black Hardware.

Exactly! I'll post pics later but the transparent blue on mine is on the darker side.

It's an ns5xl with custom options. Carlton has a few of them now

I'm eyeing a USA bolt on with jazz pickups with an Aggie preamp. If I go for it, it will be a buy before you try proposition, which from a quality standpoint isn't a concern on a Spector but from a tone standpoint I don't know what to expect.
Any one out there have a clip or a link to a clip of a USA bolt on jazz pu Spector. Or possibly any comment on the tone as it relates to my current Euro 4LX poplar burl bass.

The red one is waiting for a 9v USA to come in. I bought one from Spector on 9-10-12.

The black one has a Tone Pump. The natural, pre Kramer 9v USA. I might put the new 9v in the black one (assuming I don't die from old age waiting for it to come in).
