Interesting thought! I would think that when you sell something with a sku number or a serial number, it can be checked in that way? Also aren't returns flagged especially a high dollar one? So this bass is still out there floating around apparently? Last time there was an issue like this I think someone posted a description and maybe a serial number? Am I remembering it correctly? Said person could have already moved said bass to someone one of us knows?

Sam or Patrick can you post more info so we can all do a search on local stores? Maybe we can find the missing NS-4? I can check in my area and put friends on alert in VA? I'm willing to help, just need a tad more info?

Carvin puts a chip in their basses - I think it's RFID. Even my briefcase has some kind of locator device built-in. This industry is long overdue for anti-theft measures, especially with the high rate that occurs with musical instruments.

I decided to re-record a demo I did a couple of years back. A tribute to Che Guevara.

Recorded with Spector NS-2 (Brooklyn), Roland V drums (TD-6V...I even broke a stick!! and I cheated on the double bass at the end..I could never play that) and some random guitar I have which I played through my bass effects.

And better audio here (not sure why Soundcloud sounds so crap):

Sounds awesome Omer! :D:bassist::hyper::cool:

So I was going to let you guys know my audition went fairly good last Sunday. We all talked about what we want to play and what not. They're really pretty good guys and musicians so with that and the fact of playing some covers, I agreed to play in their band. Well see how it pans out.

Another thing is I got some more cobalts and also some d.m. helix strings. I'm going to try those out first and see how they sound. Anyone else try the helix's out?

I have wanted to try those helix strings. I have a friend locally who swears by them since they came out! Let me know how they work for you. The concept makes sense to me....

Also congrats on the audition.....glad you went!

A friend of mine played the stainless version and I tried them. They sound FAT!

I have a nickel set on the way.
