Interesting thought! I would think that when you sell something with a sku number or a serial number, it can be checked in that way? Also aren't returns flagged especially a high dollar one? So this bass is still out there floating around apparently? Last time there was an issue like this I think someone posted a description and maybe a serial number? Am I remembering it correctly? Said person could have already moved said bass to someone one of us knows?
Sam or Patrick can you post more info so we can all do a search on local stores? Maybe we can find the missing NS-4? I can check in my area and put friends on alert in VA? I'm willing to help, just need a tad more info?
Carvin puts a chip in their basses - I think it's RFID. Even my briefcase has some kind of locator device built-in. This industry is long overdue for anti-theft measures, especially with the high rate that occurs with musical instruments.
