I just bought my 3rd Spector yesterday, a Euro LX4, to join my Legend Classis and NS2000/5

Do I have enough Spectors to join the club?

Congrats! See my post above on how to join the club. :bassist:

Beast of an amp Donny!

My GK woes continue. I got my Neo 412 from Musician's Enemy yesterday and it was obvious it was not a new cabinet but likely a return. The handle bar was bent badly and there are some marks on the side of the cabinet. I know it's going to get road worn anyway but that's inexcusable. Of course they don't have another one in stock so I basically told them they can either A) get GK to send me a new bar and credit me 25% for keeping a used damaged item, or B) they can take it back and I will get it elsewhere. I'll decide tomorrow which way things are going.

Cabinet does sound beastly though. With the MB800 driving it, it was too loud for my house and I think the master volume was at maybe 8 or 9 o'clock.

I had an issue with my first GK Combo amp and GK sent me a new one directly with a return label for the old one. They were fantastic to deal with. That might be a good option C for you. It was a different GK dealer, though, so maybe it's different with the MF ers. ;-)

Well the Spector-bird is here. Gave it a quick play through, it is very nice. Wife is about to go out for a couple hours, so I will get to crank it up and see what we have! In the meantime some quick pictures:

Reunited and it feels so good!!!

Thanks again Bunk for selling it back to me. I should've never let it go! New track will be in the works soon with this bass!

Quick update: I ran through "I Don't Believe in Love" real quick. Damn close to EJ's tone, VBA in to a Mesa 4x12, plugged into the passive input with the Big Muff Pi set to volume boost only. Controls were Vol=dimed, blend= 60/40, Highs=dimed, lows 1/4 turn past center detent.

Still healing up from abdominal surgery, so about 30 minutes of playing is all I can manage, but I am impressed.

I will say this, and this is no knock on the Spector, but as nice as it is, my vintage Mockingbird and Wave are still my favorites. The Spector is a sweet bass and a great addition tonally and aesthetically to my collection, but it did not dethrone the reigning champs.

Oh yeah, I have Andy's CD on rotation in my car's six disc, which right now consists of Between the Buried and Me, Defy Tolerance, Divinity Comprimised, Clutch, Tomahawk, and Soilwork. It's a nice rotation of heavy and our Spector brothers hold their own quite well! :bassist:

wow, thanks man.... that is quite the cd rotation to be a part of
