Hey is the 1001RBii like this as well? I seem to notice less boominess out of it when I'm on my low B.

No the 700 and 1001 are big and wide in the low end. They do not roll off the lows like the older 800RB. If you are encountering that boominess and want to tighter up that B tremendously put a high pass filter (like fdeck's) in front of your amp. Slice city.

I had a 1001RB first issue and it was good on the bottom but couldn't keep up volume wise. The RBii's are much better. I noticed that my Mesa 2/15 Faital loaded takes out quite a bit of that boominess and really cleaned up the lows. I can dail in alot more bottom end at higher volumes and still have a very tight mid than my 4/12 Mesa and the GK 12 cab. Those cabs seem to start to break up pretty quick with the Mesa the first to break up. I wasn't a big Faital fan till I started running them at higher volumes. I have the Fdeck and the Gamma pad, there are great and well woth the investment if your playing clubs. The Gamma is great for hollow stages where all you hear is bass at the cab and step out five feet and nothing. The Gamma will fix that and the Fdeck will tighten and add more headroom for sure.

So that would affect what goes to the house too if you tap the DI on the amp head, correct? Is that desirable?

Pretty sweet. He uses the same rig as me. TC Electronic RH450, RS210 and RS212.

His tone on The Raven That Refused To Sing is amazing - especially Luminol. He used his Coda with a pick with Spector Nickels in the studio, but live he uses his EuroLX with fingers. Tonepump!

Cool I'll have to check that out. Yeah the Euro came across really good for Luminol when I saw them last month. The Coda was used quite a bit but I think he had a tamer tone dialed in on it. I really hope they do a Blu-ray of this tour.

You could run it into the input, but I run mine after the line out to power amp and the DI is seperate on my setup.

Since I'm the soundman too I say go for it! LOL Seriously, I like the idea. Then I won't tax the subs quite as much. If I really like it I might get one to put on the kick too.

I like how after dialing in more low mid, cutting some highs, and fattening up the sound that I'm now leaning back towards more of the brighter sounds and wanting to make the maple talk a little more....it has been fun and exciting to explore this NS2, very amazing bass!

All I have is the pic of the raw wood I chose. Rumour has it though that in August someone may be visiting the NY shop and they'll take some shots of my NS-2 and NS-5XL in whatever state they're in. This waiting is tough though.
