In other news my daughter arrived yesterday afternoon safe sound an completely natural! Ava Jeanne, 7# 10oz.

Congratulations, Zitch! That's great. Ava is a fantastic name. I think that was on our short-list if we'd had any girls. :bassist:

That's the shiznit! Outstanding! It takes it to a whole new level of awesome. Any difference in tone?

Thanks! I can't discern any really noticeable difference in tone. It might be a touch brighter but that could easily be the new strings I put on. The old strings were pretty grungy (pun intended). CircleK's, baby! :bassist:

I also swapped out the gold schaller strap locks for some NOS black ones out of the parts bin that I'd intended to put on my old Forte but never got around to it.

Hi guys

What do you guys think of this bass? It says it's a 5P but, looking at pics on the Spector 'discontinued' page, it looks like it might be NS-5.

Is this worth the money? How different or similar are these SSD's from the typical NS basses?

Man that NS-5P is a beauty! A great price also. Grab it!!!:bassist:

Today I was honored to have had the opportunity to visit the Spector Workshop and meet Stuart Spector.

It just so happen all the cards aligned properly as PJ was going past my area and invited me to take the ride with him.

As most of you know I have heart disease, but many don't know that I have not left a 10 mile radius of my house for almost 3 years.

My house to Woodstock is 100 miles in a very rural area.
This idea caused me a lot of anxiety especially since the sudden heart attack of James Gandalfini last week,

What better way to push and my test my comfort zone then to visit the shop and meet Stuart.

Some additional info;
During my last conversations with Chris Loe we discussed how he hoped to visit the shop with me one day and we could be support for each other.

In honor of Chris Loe, I brought Stuart a Chris Loe Bracelet and Ribbon.

Please check the photos below.

This next photo may be one of the ugliest but most beautiful photos ever.

Stuart hung the Chris Loe Memorial Ribbon on the wall where all the basses are photographed before they are shipped.
The first one that was taken with the Ribbon was
My NS-2 #800.
So from now on Chris Loe will now be honored in every photo
that is taken on that desk.

And finally here I am with Stuart.

I will also just like to ad that Stuart is just an incredible man. Speaking with him for 2 mins and I felt like I knew him for years. This is a day I will never forget.

Thank you to PJ, Stuart and Patrick allowing this to happen.
I'm so happy that you had this once in a lifetime opportunity Sam. Couldn't happen to a more humble person. :) I must say that as I was reading this tears are pooling in my eyes...You're looking really great Sam.:bassist:

Browsing Evilbay, and this caught my eye.

I think it's some sort of Korean Spector, but I'm not sure.

NS2000b I have the exact same one. Nice neck! I paid $100 used at GC.

Scroll down to see here:

OK guys I have something brewing (not a bad meal), and I do need to move my Euros sooner than later at this point. I'm getting ready to knock them down to borderline stupid prices, so just wanted to give a final crack here. PM me if you're interested in either one and we can talk price. Would really love to see the 5LX stay in the club if possible.

although not new to buying good basses...I have wanted a Spector for a year or two and was wondering if i could get some help deciding between the two of these basses.
They are both brand new and will come with a Spector hard shell case.

What would be the tonal differences with the electronics and your take on the pros and or cons of each.
Thanks ahead of time.
What would be the street value of these new?
