Ps- the ns2jar received the new set up. Turned out great- I'm gonna have him do the LX Monday too.

Nice! sounds like a solid deal really if you're not gonna miss the Rebop or the NS2JAR. FWIW, my Euro really came to life with a proper setup and the right gauge strings for the tuning I'm in. I think you're gonna be really happy with the LX.

Does it have the Red branding EMG's? Might be a way to figure out what pre it has without even opening it up if so.

Sounds like a good deal for the store as well, he can move a couple used basses quick...or if you miss one you know who has it!

Since I was there I, I dropped a bass off at the music store for a pro set up, as I usually do my own.

While at the doctors office we found out that my wife would have to come back on Monday to get a thing fitted to hold her jaw in the right place during treatment.

Afterwards we went back to pick up my bass, and while talking, the guy offered me a really outstanding trade deal, toward a new amber euro LX. So when we go back Monday, I'll be picking it up!

And to show how well I married, my wife came home with a still-sore jaw, and was still happy for me about a new bass... I really am blessed!:)

Hopefully I'll have time for pics Monday :bassist:

Didn't notice the logo color on the pups. I'm hoping it has the trim pot, but won't be heartbroken if not. Unless I really love the stock sound I'll probably change to an OBP3, eventually to have the mid control. The non trim versions are extremely hot though; my rebop is the only bass I've ever used the input pad on my amp for.

I will actually miss both the ones I'm trading, but I do this because I love it, not cause I can afford it:D I wasn't actively looking for a new bass, but kinda fell for this one...decisions had to be made!

I shoulda took phone pics at the store. I'll definitely get a few of the burl LX too, on Monday, in case some one wants info on that.

Where in Relation to the border of North/South Dakota do you live? We'll be scooting across N.D. probably Tuesday/Wed..."I could be coming to a town near you".:)

What would be a fair price on a natural finish Spector Legend Custom 4 string bass? It has the stock EMG HZs, preamp, and gold hardware, but it doesn't have a case. It's the maple 3 piece set neck with a maple body and a quilt top. Just assume it's mint.

The Spector site says it originally listed at $1049. Best I can see it was around $699-$799 new. What would be a good price for it?

I'm about 100 miles south of the border. I'll be on Fargo ND on Monday which is on the interstate in ND, which I'm guessing you will go right through. Unfortunately, it will be on Monday, which will be earlier than you go through...would have loved to meet up with you! If itinerary changes let me know...
