be careful though. I imagine you DON'T want to replace your real EMGs with those EMG "selects". those are low end passive EMG branded pickups. the POT values in the pre might be spec'd for the passive pickups and might not work the best with real EMGs. somebody with more experience upgrading old NS2a's can probably help me out here. but active emg's usually call for 25k pots. not the normal 250k.

Thanks Jim. I'm pretty sure if those are passive pups then the pots won't match the active pups in your old bass. Not sure if this is worth it then. Maybe just hold out for a USA 9v?

Maybe Sam or someone could chime in?

I have the korean haz copy in a NS2A with active EMGs and it looks to be stock, no markings on the pots. You can use the "passive" pots but the highs are more shrill and the roll off isn't same, but to my ears it sounds great

Agreed....I've done this in many Euro's and NS2a's and never noticed a problem.....

Hey Jeff u jinxed me just got an email saying they were out of stock thank god I found another one. So go grab that one on ebay.

Also way back in the day from that lovely picture I posted my ns2a if I remember had emgs wit the haz copy and I dont think we changed out the pots.

Im wondering thoough now if ill have to when I get my euro and install the sd s with yhe switches in them. Kind of fired up to have that set up should give me some cool tonal options.

Sam put his blessings on the preamp. He thought $80 + $10 shipping was a little high so I offered $70. We'll see if he goes for it.

If not can I still keep the volume/blend knobs with the pump? I don't like volume/volume.
