Hey all! I was able to come home today about 10:30am :hyper:
Sorry about no Coda pictures:scowl: no sooner than got into the prep room and they were on the fast track into surgery. Next thing I knew I was waking up in my room. I didn't even remember being wheeled out of prep! Lol Great drugs! Doc said this morning that I can get back to playing my bass right away! Yay! Just can't use shoulder strap yet of course. First time pain free in 3 years! No need for pain meds now even.
Gotta go rest now...peace all! Thank you for all your prayers, thoughts, great vibes and encouragement brethren! :):bassist:
(From last 3 pages of part 65...I've had the snippy snippy "The big V" when Dr.s used clam shells ;) ) lol 1981!

AWESOME news! :hyper:
Glad to hear it went well!

Great news! Glad you're back. Rest, take care, play your bass and enjoy the pain free life!!

I have a pvc pipe I fill and in the lids I put five small screw in hooks. I hook the strings drop then in and I usually forget about them until time to rotate. I have let a set soak for a couple months and found them to work well. It doesn't hurt the strings.

I use the same long PVC pipe trick with denatured alcohol. Works like a champ for me.

I very much prefer my mxr bass di+ over the bddi I had (the bddi deluxe has some great features tho)

That's the same DI I use. I like it overall. The color button scoops the signal quite a bit, which can be tamed a bit with the EQ, but it fattens up the bottom and sweetens the top end in a nice way. It's almost a slap switch without the compression. The distortion isn't the greatest, but a lower gain setting gives you a bit of edge without going over the top, but it is distortion, not overdrive, so it's an always on effect. It doesn't react to your playing dynamics almost at all. You also seem to lose some bottom with the distortion on, which is odd because the scoop comes on with the distortion whether you have it engaged or not, so I think it's the mids that disappear with it on and it loses some punch. I tend to run mine clean with scoop on and the mids bumped up a bit with some top rolled off.

Been leaning towards springing for a B7K, but don't have the cheddar to lay down for one at the moment. Maybe around tax time I can score one.
