Hi folks, has anyone in the club got their hands on the new 2025 Euro Wimbish yet?
I have the previous version of the Euro LX Doug Wimbish signature and its my favourite bass i've ever owned out of around 25+ basses, mine is a late 2022 model.
Wondering about the new neck profile, Darklgass Legacy pre-amp and the general QC. I may pick up one of the new ones as I've heard the necks are a bit thinner front-to-back (more like Doug's original), mine is quite chunky around .88" at first fret, don't get me wrong, I love it but would rather a slightly slimmer profile if possible, and I'm getting tired of the Tonepump. The one I have currently has zero build quality flaws, perfect fretwork, nice weight (maybe slightly heavy 9.2lbs) and the figuring of the maple is amazing and I have a feeling I won't get so lucky again, here in the EU we don't have stores like Sweetwater that allow you to pick your exact model by serial number etc. so what you get is what you get, I would essentially be ordering blindly online so I'm debating whether its worth it to get one of the newer models or just stick with what I have. I'm loving the understated look of the Black Stain Euro Wimbish, would love to hear some opinions if any has got one in their hands yet.

Dropped right in, no need to use spacers like I did on a 7ender product I had. The screw holes matches up perfectly too.
Still hoping somebody here can shed some light on how the new post Stuart era 34" builds play. Mostly interested in how much different the reach down to first frets feels.
Especially if it shows up after you've left town for the week
This was an amazing day, with beautiful weather, giant ships behind us, the Thunderbirds from the air show flying overhead and my tiny little direct rig with full out Spector growl on this enormous stage. The RST w/LHZ 3-band sounded amazing on 'Man in the Box', it sounded authentic with that setup through this massive sound system!

The new bass arrived today, and it is absolutely as gorgeous in real life as it was in the pics. Not a scratch on it and even the case looks untouched. Weighs right around 8 lbs. But every single time I get a Spector with passive pickups, I wind up chasing down bad shielding. Why can't Korg get their act together? Every component in this bass is Korg - Aguilar AG50/AG5J pickups and DG Tone Capsule. You'd think they'd know how to wire it up so it doesn't buzz like a hornet's next. It was the same with my RST, same with my Skyler Acord. At least I know how to fix it after the last two.

Played a Euro RST for the first time today at Guitar Center Nashville. Wasn't crazy about the finish and the top was kinda just OK, and I hate two volume knobs...but great googly moogly was that thing LIGHT! We guessed about six pounds. I'd be changing preamp and pickups, and probably tuners, but dang there was still a lot to like about that bass.
Don't touch the tuners on the RST. They're Gotoh GB350 Resolites - really high quality tuners. I have the EMG E5W's on order. As soon as I get them I'll install them and report back.
Well, I tried my usual tricks and no dice on getting rid of the hum. It is coming almost entirely from the P pickup. It's definitely a shielding issue, as it goes away when I touch any metal on the bass. I tried putting copper tape over the back of the pole pieces and running a lead from them straight to ground but it didn't seem to do anything. Any ideas before I go researching alternative pickups that fit in this rout?
Dang! Anybody else just stop getting updates for this thread randomly, while still getting updates for other threads? I keep having to click "watch" and "unwatch" to get them to start again

I really like the 32" NS-2 that you recently received @LimaGuy . Congrats! I was hoping you could tell us the dealer you went through to order your 32"? Was just curious if the dealer saved you some $$ of the retail price of the build? Also I was wondering how long your wait was for your custom build?
So great that Spector USA is offering these different scale length.

I'm most likely going to be putting up my lightweight Redwood 2024 NS-2 for sale by tomorrow in the classifieds as I will need to move this one to place my custom 32" NS2 order. I'm basically going to get similar specs for my 32" order as I really like the specs of this one.

Well, it looks like I finally can become a member of the Spector owner's club. I usually play more FSO basses and a Gibson here and there. I played one of the spector ns dimensions and was impressed with the build quality but thrown off by the multi scale. I saw that Guitar Center in Orlando had a used USA NS2 with the Wimbush neck. After talking to a knowledgeable associate, I drove over and fell in love with the Spector. Just great tone and ergonomics all around. It came with Aguilar Pickups.and an Aguilar OBP-2 pre-amp. I find I can get all sorts of tones from rock and jazz to heavier metal. Great all around bass and I love the color. It's Maple Burl and a green or swamp green.
