Hi folks, has anyone in the club got their hands on the new 2025 Euro Wimbish yet?
I have the previous version of the Euro LX Doug Wimbish signature and its my favourite bass i've ever owned out of around 25+ basses, mine is a late 2022 model.
Wondering about the new neck profile, Darklgass Legacy pre-amp and the general QC. I may pick up one of the new ones as I've heard the necks are a bit thinner front-to-back (more like Doug's original), mine is quite chunky around .88" at first fret, don't get me wrong, I love it but would rather a slightly slimmer profile if possible, and I'm getting tired of the Tonepump. The one I have currently has zero build quality flaws, perfect fretwork, nice weight (maybe slightly heavy 9.2lbs) and the figuring of the maple is amazing and I have a feeling I won't get so lucky again, here in the EU we don't have stores like
Sweetwater that allow you to pick your exact model by serial number etc. so what you get is what you get, I would essentially be ordering blindly online so I'm debating whether its worth it to get one of the newer models or just stick with what I have. I'm loving the understated look of the Black Stain Euro Wimbish, would love to hear some opinions if any has got one in their hands yet.
