Nickthebassist said:I have a friend with a Euro 4 LX, and my Korean Spector 1986 can keep up with it, get its sound....plus my spector has a different profile neck.
5stringDNA said:Yah- Koreans are definately nothing close to the Euro models. I loved my Koren Q5, but once I got my Czech 5 I was blown away. Spector will probably remain my #1 builder for many years to come, I just wish they built 34" scaled 5-strings, seeing as I don't tune with a low-B (high C, yay!)

The rebops only $100 more?Dviper said:how does the Spector Q5 Pro compare to the Rebop 5? Its obviously not as good but for 100 less is it a good buy rather than a rebop 5 for 100 more?
Well if you havent noticed its good just by playing it, maybe it doesnt matter. Just because someone else thinsk something is good, doesnt mean its better for you. If you dont like it now, just knowing that its generally a better instrment shouldnt make you like it more.Nickthebassist said:So this kicks booty even mroe than i thought? Hell yes! Rebops sell fo arouind $600 on ebay, Q5's sell for around $300. Seems to be a bigger price gap than $100.Dviper said:This is ebay im dealin with so as of now there about even but the rebops normaly go up to about 600

well i was lookin at this one
Its a really good bass, i have one. I dont like anything about the Rebop more except cosmetics. I tihnk the Q5 is a great deal for $300, which is what i payed for mine. it sounds great, i have flatwounds on mine.Dviper said:so anyway....how is the Q5 Pro? Would it be better to get one of them new for 300-400 or to get a used Rebop5

I personally would go with the Tribute, but only because i dont really like the body styling of the Q5, i prefer the carved NS body.Dviper said:now how would a Q5 Pro compare to a Tribute L-2500?
