Spector bridge & tuners replacement

Hi all,

Anyone know if I can straight swap my Euro LX4 Spector bridge for a Badass bridge without doing any major work to the body?
Thinking of changing my Schaller tuners to Gotoh GB7 as well.
Thoughts?

Thanks,
Rick

Is there any particular reason you want to exchange one hi-mass brass bridge for another hi-mass brass bridge? And for that matter, is there a particular reason you want to exchange German-made sealed tuners for another sealed tuner?

That said, it's pretty easy to see that the 3 screws that secure the Spector bridge would not line up with the 3 holes on a Badass I or Badass III. So you would have to plug the existing holes, measure for the proper placement of the new bridge, and drill new mounting holes.

I'd go with one of the new style Spector bridges with the intonation screws. It's a direct replacement and works much better than a Badass. You'll really miss that quick load Spector bridge the first time you change strings on a badass.
