No, but I would be interested if someone wanted to sell a 4-string ReBop body.

A local Pawn Shop has a Tobacco Burst ReBob 4 DLX (inlays) for about $550. You guys could split it (literallyNo, but I would be interested if someone wanted to sell a 4-string ReBop body.

...STILL have zing. @_@
Wow. Now that's quality!
jarrhead said:And to speak of the bass, I was able to switch from C# Standard to Eb standard and did not have to adjust the action or truss rod at all! Intonation only slightly. Action is low and doesn't buzz, even with these roundwounds.
btw, is that bass you snagged a legend custom or an ns2000/5? And I've always wondered, which exactly does Dan play? Spectors site says custom, but from what I've read its a 2000/5.crimson_basser said:It is a 2000/5, the exact same model I have![]()

If you plug direct into, I find the sound is just like his on the BTBAM records. Its got that round, growly punch with just enough definition in the high end without being clanky or shrill sounding.
Its music to my earsss
I basically swapped a Legend 5 Custom for it. While there are things about the Legend I preferred, somehow the setup in the NS 2000/5 just works
better right off the bat. I can plug and play into anything half decent and have a tone I like without touching any controls. There is slightly "less"
versatility, only have a 2 band EQ compared to the 3 in the Legend Custom (at least before they switched to a two band), but somehow I find
I can get a greater variety of sounds out of the NS 2000/5..
It's weird, but it grew on me.

I picked this up a few days ago...but I've been too busy playing the damned thing to stop and take a picture.
Saw it used at GC for 300...never saw a Spector in that store before, so I put it on layaway, traded some old gear (shut up, I'm poor), and took it home 5 days later.

I still haven't sent payment, he's being incredibly difficult to deal with.
I'm going to "Ns2000/5" it. I'm going to put a brass nut, a 2-band/master/blend EMG pre (like I had in my NS5CRFM), and put on the black hardware.
I've been trying to find an amber quilt NS2000/5 for two years and found zilch. So I settled for a Legend Custom.
Dan plays an NS2000/5. According to Dustie, anyhow. And I think he's right, because it has a brass nut and a more "fender" style body, and the neck seems completely through and not set.
He says that Dan has a Euro 5 as well that he just never plays.

Yeah, I planned on swapping the tonepump jr in my classic for an EMG BTC control circuit (like the ns2000/s have), but the sounds I'm getting now are pretty good. I dont like not being able to cut frequencies though.
Not sure what I'd do regarding the nut though. Same for tuning. As much a I love playing along to BTBAM songs, most of my work is in standard. Would medium gauge strings reduce some of the flop and buzz I get when I detune?
