Spector Club - Part 12

See, I figured it was Korean based on the price ($499 used) but it didn't say anything about where it was made on the headstock. The only thing printed there was the serial number. After what you guys said and some research on the Spector website, I think it is a Legend Classic.

Anyway, here are the pictures I took:

That's a Performer 4 DLX. $549 when new. $499 is too high. I've seen these floating around for as little as $200 on occasion.

I'm gonna quote this for emphasis. No way in hell I'd pay even close to 500. I just got a Legend Custom 5 in Amber Quilt with EMG Hz for $500 shipped and that's still $69 overpriced.

Again, you guys and your wealth of knowledge blow me away! I'm slowly becoming informed about the entire range of Spector basses and I love it!

PS - Did anyone see this?

MINT SPECTOR NS2 EURO LOADED

Not sure what the reserve is, but I like the price range it's in right now! :bassist:

It's weird, lately I find myself reaching for my legend more than my modulus Q5.
The modulus is great (and my first 'good' bass) but the neck feels so 'square' in comparison, and it takes some adjusting to when I play it. As much as I like that bass, its old (It'll be 16 next march according to the warranty card that came with it) and it has some problems which make me paranoid when I take it out of the house (to gigs, practice, school, etc.)
Lately I've toyed with the idea of selling it and picking up a new rebop, but the major retail sites don't carry it anymore for some reason. Anyone know why?
If I don't do that, I'll keep the modulus as a home/studio/session bass (on rare the occasion I get into the studio) and just save up until I can get a rebop. That way on gigs I'll have a double team of spectors!

There's a couple rebops in the sales forum

One of them is mine, yes I flip flopped again and it is back up for sale.

I will make special price consideration for fellow Spector club members. ;)

The photos do no justice, it really looks amazing in person that is why I keep changing my mind.

But I prefer the neck profile on the NS-2A's and Euro's and it sounds and plays similar to my NS-2JAR so it just dosent get the attention it deserves.

I'm interested to hear how it sounds!!!

I am very happy!!! So much so that I may keep the Hz's . They sound great. Like the difference between Emgs and generic passive pups with that pre over the tone pump. Been playing it for about 3 hrs now lol. Had to finally put it down. It wasn't a drop in swap, but not too bad. Had to shave the board a bit, and open up the holes for the pots. But it fits. I'm grinnin! :) :) :) :)

Is $1999 a fair price for this new Euro 4LX Doug Wimbish Peacock Blue Serial # 10464 ?

I'm going to the store for something else tomorrow but this caught my eye and I'm tempted...

Thats is a fair price. Basscentral seems to always have fair prices.

That is a great color and a great finish. :bassist:

Hey I never got my #..... :help: :bassist: :hmm:
Thanks! Long time member first time poster lol. This is actually my 7th Spector, First bolt on, 2rd euro. I wasn't really looking but it popped up and for the price I couldn't turn it down. It was quite abused but has a good home now and will be upgraded and refinished (Arctic white) here shortly. Mods will be gold bridge and schaller tuners / locks, emg 35P and 35J,US Haz lab circuit. Still haven't decided on skull knobs or not yet ( I love them on my ESP) we'll have to wait n see. Do I get a # now?? lol.
Grendle,
I went back through your posts to June to see if I missed your pics and request. :( I do try to stay on top of the roster so no one gets left out like Lima did before I took it over. The prvious Keeper just got too busy with work and stuff and we can't/don't blame anyone for that.
I see you talking about your 7 Spectors (Lima ... competition! :D) but I don't see any of em :eyebrow: LOL... anyways,

LimaGuy is correct... As you see, I am pretty quick with the numbers...I check the thread several times a day (at work, LOL :ninja:) looking for pics and membership requests. The standing SOP is post a pic of your SPECTOR/s and ask to join. Someone said when I joined "No pic = no SPECTOR" and it just kinda became the way it is done, I guess.:hmm: Like hazing kind of. LOL;)
Please post us a pic and you get the number I have already reserved for you.

Congrats on the new addition!... and thanks for making some of us that only have one or 4 SPECTOR basses envious!!!!!:eyebrow:

A somewhat misleading auction title.
There is no such thing as a "Euro NS2". That's got solid body wings so it's either an NS4CRFM (1999-2001) or a Euro4 (2001-2004). Both Czech Republic made.
An "NS2" is strictly USA made territory.

These typically go from $700 on the low side to about $1100 tops. A Spector case helps.

It's a fair if average price.
Bass Central will never screw you. You may find one lower, but not often. Plus their CS is first rate.

That, however, is the nicest looking Doug Wimbish and one of the nicest looking Spectors I've ever seen, period!
