A somewhat misleading auction title.
There is no such thing as a "Euro NS2". That's got solid body wings so it's either an NS4CRFM (1999-2001) or a Euro4 (2001-2004). Both Czech Republic made.
An "NS2" is strictly USA made territory.

These typically go from $700 on the low side to about $1100 tops. A Spector case helps.

Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure it's a Wimbish Euro4. I knew "Euro NS2" was off. Do they make any other Euros with that amber color?

Funny thing is....it's not.
That bass has solid maple wings, as it has the same figured maple on the back as the front. A Wimbish Euro is going to be like all the other Euro LX (not "Euro" or "NSCR") models. Maple/Walnut Slice/plain jane Alder on the back.

I'm pretty sure I explained this in my first response.

Yup. I did.:smug:

JPS knows this. He was just humoring you. :p ;)

Ns2jar on our classifieds for weekend sale of 550 !!! That's a great price !!! Wish I had some money !!!!

I just checked, it is actually a "buyer" offering $550 for it.

The dude shouldn't have done it that way it is very misleading. :rollno:

I guess he may change it when people start calling "him" to buy it.

Its still $700 which is still a nice price.

Yeah, Not sure why he did it that way. He also PM'd me.
Oh well sorry for the confusion, it wasn't me.
If one the TB regulars are interested I can come down a touch.
Thanks
Jay

Hi Guys. Just saw my friend Sean's new Matte Black Euro LX Doug Wimbish Signature, thought I would share some pictures.

This bass looks awesome. I didn't play it (Sean is in Sturgis, he texted me and told me to go to the music store he works at and check it out. I didn't want to play it before he did...)

I am not sure what preamp it has in it, it's a EMG. Sean said he didn't order a special one, but as far as I can tell, it has a master volume, a pickup blend, then a stackable bass/treble and then maybe a sweepable mid/mid level. Very cool can't wait to hear it sometime.

Man, that thing is sweet! If it has the mid control, it is most likely either the EMG BQC or the EMG BQS. I cannot figure out the difference between the two but those two seem to be the only ones that have the 3 band EQ.

Very very nice....
Same finish as on my Euro 4LX. That Matte finish is really amazing. No stickiness on the back of the neck.

P.S. Let him know that Dunlop 65 works perfect on cleaning it. (It is recommended by Spector for Matte finishes)

Also eventually the Matte on the back of the neck starts to get shine in the areas where the thumb lands most often. But it still feels slick, I have read this is normal.

P.S.
Trace, hate to correct you, I that appears to be a BQC Pre

Would love to hear some clips of that mid sweep control.

I have considered getting that on mine. The BQC control added to exsisting volume controls is only $108.

Sick looking!!!
I've always wondered how gold hardware would look on matte black. I've never seen it on a matte black Spector.
