Deposit paid on my NS2!!!!!!!!!!! I am now awaiting to chose from the Spalted Maple top I want and the process starts!!

Yeah, they were all incredibly helpful and were great in helping my parents set up the payment system.
I do have two poorly mixed songs that I did at camp. Here's a link to the first album. Week 2 is right on the page also. I'm Mike, so just check those two. And if you have headphones, I recommend those over computer speakers, since I played most of the second song on the B and E strings, so it's pretty damn low.
If you all want, I could record myself running through some different riffs? I would have to do it at home, which would take a few hours. (Because I'm tooooootally not posting at school).
And as for the f**k-ups... it was my first time playing live. So my strings were coated in sweat. Still...

I hear ya on the music f**k-ups...I always cringe (inside) when I hit the wrong fret, after playing it correct 100 times...but thankfully nobody except yourself hears it.

Actually, it arrived two days into the first week, and everyone was just amazed. I'm certainly the odd man out there (as evidenced by the fact that all the other track are pop or hip-hop, although Nick wrote some sweet licks for "Sunny D". That being said, a well-made instruments often breaks genre barriers. If you listen to... John and Nick's (I think?)tracks, those both use the Spector for the bass part.
But yeah, I certainly got a lot of comments about the bass. It varied from "Dude, F**kin A!" to "***?!?" But yeah, once people heard it, they loved it. It's a much different environment there as opposed to the rest of the school year (we're all high schoolers or middle schoolers), so there's not a lot of negativity.
Still... Death Metal Kid forever!

Sorry, that's wrong. The option is for the USA 9v Circuit.
On the USA Bolt-On in this ad:

Wow. This is one seriously messed-up description.
I think they got the description for the NS-2 mixed into this somehow.
First USA Bolt-On models come standard with black hardware. Gold hardware isn't a listed option, although Stuart just recently did one for someone as a special order.
Second: The USA Bolt-On models come with Aguilar OBP-3 tone circuits. The USA 9v SPECTOR circuit has never been standard in this bass and again isn't even listed as an option, but of course you can order one that way if you want as a special order.
Third: What it is not is a NS-4H2... the photo that was posted of the NS-2J in natural finish at the end of the last thread was not correct. You need to confirm that what you are looking at has two J pups if that's what you want. Because the "H" in NS-4H2 means Humbucker. And I haven't seen Stuart call anything with two J pups an "H" model. He usually falls back on the NS-2J or NS-2JA name for ANYTHING USA-made with dual J pups unless a 5-string.
On the NS-2J not being a neck-thru:
Peledog - Tracebass is correct... Dual "J" pups are an option for the NS-2 neck-thru model, making it an NS-2J. The bolt-on model is typically called the NS-2JA. The NS-2JA-R (the R was for Reissue)... But Stuart has called some of the dual J bolt-on models NS-2J. Doug Wimbish owns and plays a white NS-2 with dual J's. And many other people have these rare NS-2 dual J models.
My next USA SPECTOR will be a neck-thru NS-2 with dual J pups and the Doug Wimbish/Ian Hill hybrid neck... skinny with the 1.5" nut.
I've taken my NS-2JA-R off the market because I've been playing it every day lately. Since I don't want to put wear and tear on The Black Pearl or my WCR NS-4, I've been keeping the NS-2JA-R in my bedroom (where I usually play to relax at night before bed). And I LOVE LOVE LOVE that 1.5" nut and thinner profile (front to back) neck on that bass.
It would be perfect if it was a neck-thru. So after NAMM in January I'm going to order one.
And Chrisloe: LOVE the Dione Warwick comment. I've got to remember that one. Sweet.

For me it's just a Boss TU-3 > Ashdown Lomenzo Hyperdrive (a must try at least for anyone looking into overdrive/distortion) > Jim Dunlop 105q bass wah.
I'll need to get recordings eventually of bass wah over death metal, but it works I assure you, haha.
