Mad,
That is a ReBop, which means maybe you should call them?
Bolt-on + color = maybe a new bass for Mad? :hiding: :bassist: ;)

Haha! I've already called them. That's not my favorite finish and they are solid on the price plus shipping. Comes out to about 1210 shipped. If it doesn't sale they may lower the price or ill wait for another deal.

Should've bought peles zebop. :)

Ronnietex...as LimaGuy mentioned, I use strictly flats on all of my SPECTORS. Also so does seventhframe. Ive tried rounds from different manuf. just this week I tried some DR Black Beauties they're coated nickels, didn't like them. I've used D'Addarrio chrome flats, okay but not quite the sound I like. I keep going back to GHS Precision ground Stainless Steel Flatwounds. I've used them for over 3 years now, you don't lose the SPECTOR growl, IMO, it makes the growl a lot more noticeable. They have a big sound. Plus they are smooth as silk! You can play for hours & hours and not have bloody sore fingers. They have a very longevity. I've not had any troubles with dead spots. I play in 2 bands, they're both are Christian Rock bands. One is really quite rocky! I dig into the GHS's pretty hard and they keep on taking it!
A friend of mine plays in a local Rock cover band, plays a 72 Fender P bass and swears by the same strings too. Been using nothing else for years. Sounds like you already like flats so put on your SPECTOR! You'll not regret it!

P.S. If anyone's interested, I have a set of DR BB's with about 2 hours of playing time on them FS! PM me! I'll make ya a great deal!!! :D

Thank you, Icebox and Lima! Actually this is a Christian band I got into. The leader has an old rocker background and loves to play rock/metal with Christian themes. He has been doing this a long time, but I have just met him the last month or so.

Anyway, I will order some GHS today and see how it goes. I appreciate the help.

Edit: Isn't there a Talkbass member who had a bass string store? If someone has the link I can probably get them there and help out a member.

Here's the string store that's from one of our members.
Peace!

I might have found a Spector used to buy. But the guy selling it don´t know what modell it is. Could anyone tell me which model it is by the serial number? Or is there a way to find out?
Here is the serial.
98030459

Thanks/Daniel

I'd say with a serial# such as that it's more than likely a SPECTOR Performer. I just sold one recently and it's serial# sequence was similar to that one. Just looked at my 2009 Legend 4 and it's serial# is only 4 digits long. I hope you're able to get a fair price, less than $200.00.

Thanks a lot! He wants around 1000 dollars for it. He says new price was around 1300 dollars.
So then I wont buy that one.

Thanks for saving me a lot of dollars.

Best regards/Daniel

I have noticed a few of you guys posting links to Jason aka SLaPiNFuNK's business bassstringsonline.com and that makes me happy! I took a chance and ordered from Jason and received the best service that I have ever gotten from anyone! The prices were great, the shipping was super fast. Jason was also very helpful in helping me select a string and answering questions about a product or two that he sales. I had such a great experience that I started a thread to share my experience and as you can see several others are now using his site as well and have equally good experiences. Check the thread here:

As I said before. This guy is getting all of my business. His site is easy to use as well and if you have suggestions and or questions he welcomes them! Check out the site for yourself and be sure to sign up as a VIP which is available to all tb members! :)

Good to know, my local GC doesnt carry much for strings (fortunately lately they have been stocking more DR stuff though) so anytime I need something other than my usual sunbeams I'll have to check out that site, I see he's even got some stuff for 8/12 string basses

$1300.00 would be the price of a MK5 or SPECTOR Core New.
Did he have any pictures that you could share? Then we could nail it down. Checkout Guitars, Musical Instruments, and Musical Equipment from Guitar Center They have a fair variety of SPECTOR basses in the used bass section for pretty low prices. Anytime you want verification feel free to ask here. Everyone will be more than willing to help you. Cheers!

As a fellow sunbeam player, I must add that the prices on his sunbeams are unbeatable when signed up as a VIP!
