I think everyone should still be a member. That is the good thing about this club and everyone in it. Even if you had a Spector but decided it wasn't for you, we still welcome you with open arms and are here to be cool to everyone and offer all the help and info we can.

I took the picture with the webcam on my Macbook :) I couldn't get a good picture with my phone and every time I asked my daughter to take one, she would take a picture of my bald head, LOL. Those pre-teens, they are such jokesters :)

Very true.. However my goal is picking a USA out by the end of 2012.. Even if it's just a stay at home and studio bass.

Owning a Spector changes one on a molecular level so in a way, one always will be part of the club.:D:D:D

Hey guys,

I'm new to these parts and am looking for some basic info on Spector basses and, specifically, the differences between their models and series of basses. For example, is there much of a difference between the US and Euro models as far as quality is concerned? Do both have their intro models and high end models? Is there a big difference between the Euros and the Americans as far as tone and feel is concerned?

I sometimes feel the same way about certain exquisite and expensive things but heck, it's a hell of an instrument and its meant to be played, especially on stage!
When I got my Forte I was scared shitless anything would happen to it. I even bought a Euro 5 on a whim just so I could use it more than the Forte then I was like..."This is ********, it's MEANT to be used, that's it's purpose!". About a month back I got a small ding, at first I reacted "HOLY F*#&!!!!!!!!!" And then, "F it, it's a thing (albeit an expensive one) and its meant to be used".
I love using it, I love playing it all the time and believe me, I play it a LOT. Why "settle" on a sound or style??
When I get my NS2 in a few months, I am sure I'll be back to treating it with white satin gloves, but it also is going to be used and enjoyed, just be careful with it, if something happens, so it happens! I know there's a guy here in Vancouver that does amazing restorations, if need be and if I feel I want to, at some point, I can get those dings fixed!!! Almost nothing is irreversible.
ENJOY our instruments to the fullest I say!!!;)

Even more odd than that is after I made the demo video, I noticed a grey colour pattern in our apartment :D
A couch that we just got is the same colour as the Forte:D I wore a grey shirt while making another video demo...Hmmm. A pattern is emerging. Any mystical significance to the colour grey???

Maybe that's what drew you to the forte? Stuart Spector has been secretly redecorating your house and changing your wardrobe... subliminal messaging...
